Veterans
If you are a veteran and you’re struggling with your mental health, please know that help is available and you do not have to cope on your own.
Many veterans experience anxiety, low mood, trauma or distress after leaving the Armed Forces. Reaching out for support is a positive step, and we encourage you to speak to us so we can help you access the right care.
If you need urgent mental health support:
Call NHS 111 and select option 2 to access your local NHS urgent mental health helpline. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
If you feel at immediate risk or unsafe, please call 999 or attend your nearest A&E.
You can also contact Samaritans on 116 123, free and available 24/7 for confidential emotional support.
