🌟 Foundations of Recovery Graduation – What an Incredible Celebration 🌟

Last week, we came together to celebrate our amazing Foundations of Recovery graduation, and what a truly powerful day it was. We are incredibly proud to say that nine graduates successfully completed the programme — a huge achievement and a testament to their commitment, courage, and growth.

The day was especially moving as we listened to people share their journeys and their plans for what comes next. Every recovery journey is unique, and this programme highlights just how important it is to continue building social capital, positive connections, and supportive networks that help people sustain recovery and move forward with confidence.

A massive congratulations to all of our graduates — you should be so proud of yourselves. Please remember that our support doesn’t end here; we’ll continue to be alongside you as you take your next steps. 💙

We’d also like to give a special shout‑out to our team. For those who don’t yet know, Jack is our new Group Worker, and this was the very first graduation he presented at — didn’t he do brilliantly! 👏 Alongside Tracey, our long‑standing Group Worker, the two make a fantastic team and are doing amazing work developing and delivering such a strong, meaningful programme.

Well done to everyone involved — a day full of pride, hope, and inspiration. 🌱✨

🌸 We’re Still Not Over Our Women’s Health Day — And Here’s Why! 🌸

Last month, we hosted our Women’s Health Outreach Day at Gateshead Recovery Partnership — and the energy, courage, and community spirit we witnessed still has us smiling. 💗

Behind the scenes, our incredible health professionals worked tirelessly to make the day meaningful, supportive, and full of life-changing interventions.
Here’s a little snapshot of what you helped make possible:
✅ At least 80 women completed feedback forms — and with over 100 goody bags handed out, we know even more were supported throughout the day.
✅ 27 liver Fibroscans completed by 1pm alone!
✅ 7 cervical screenings delivered on the day

But the real impact?
It’s in the individual stories — the moments where timely support opened the door to safer, healthier futures.

One woman attending the event received a respiratory assessment that identified urgent health needs. On the day she was supported with:
• A review following a recent cervical screening
• Smoking cessation support, including a CO reading and harm‑reduction products
• A referral to specialist smoking services
• A planned chest X‑ray and handheld spirometry
• A referral to fire safety services
• A HIVE referral to help her attend future appointments

This is what Women’s Health Day is all about — breaking down barriers, meeting women where they are, and making sure no one slips through the cracks.

Our health professionals went above and beyond, and the progress already being made from the needs identified on the day shows just how vital these outreach events truly are. 💛

To every woman who came along, every staff member who made it happen, and every partner service who supported the event:
Thank you. You made a difference — and the impact is still unfolding.

Here’s to more days like this, more opportunities, and more women feeling seen, heard, and supported. 🌷💪

🌸 We were honoured by the feedback from Dame Lesley Regan 🌸

Following our Women’s Health Day last week, we were incredibly proud to hear the positive reflections shared by Dame Lesley Regan on the impact and importance of the work being delivered through our service.

Her feedback recognised the value of accessible, compassionate women’s health support and highlighted the dedication of the team in creating a service that truly listens to women. To receive this recognition from someone with such national standing in women’s health is both humbling and hugely motivating for everyone involved.

The day was a powerful reminder of just how important this work is — and how vital it is that women feel seen, heard and supported at every stage of their health journey.

✨ So, we want to hear from you…
Would you like to see another Women’s Health Day?
Do you have ideas, topics or suggestions you’d like us to explore?
Please send them our way — because we’re not over this yet, and we’re keen to keep the momentum going 💪💗
