🎾 Tennis Elbow vs Golfer's Elbow – what's really the difference? πŸŒοΈβ€β™‚οΈ
Both cause pain around your elbow, but they affect different tendons and sides of the arm.

πŸ’₯ Tennis Elbow – pain on the outer elbow, usually from gripping, lifting, or typing.
πŸ’₯ Golfer's Elbow – pain on the inner elbow, often from twisting, lifting, or repetitive wrist movements.

Both are tendon overuse injuries, not just sports problems β€” anyone who works with their hands or at a desk can develop them.

πŸ’ͺ Early physiotherapy, activity modification, and proper loading are key to recovery and preventing flare-ups.
If elbow pain keeps returning, it's time to get it assessed β€” not ignored.

Think strong legs are enough for skiing? Think again. ❄️⛷️

Research shows that poor balance and low agility are major predictors of ski injuries β€” meaning even strong legs can't keep you safe on the slopes. The best way to protect yourself? Proper preparation off the mountain.

Skiing safely and performing well requires more than just leg strength. You need to train and assess:
βœ… Mobility – hips, knees, ankles, spine
βœ… Balance & proprioception – to prevent falls
βœ… Functional strength – for ski-specific muscles
βœ… Cardiovascular fitness – ready for altitude and exertion
βœ… Past injuries – so weaknesses don't catch you off guard

Taking time to prepare your body reduces injury risk, improves control, and makes your ski experience safer and more enjoyable. The mountain will challenge you β€” make sure you're ready for it. πŸ”οΈπŸ’ͺ

Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment for tendon and joint pain, including tennis elbow. ⚑

It works by sending acoustic waves into the affected tissue, which:

Reduces inflammation and irritation
Increases blood flow to speed up healing
Stimulates tissue regeneration to strengthen tendons
It's a great option for pain that hasn't improved with rest, stretches, or other therapies.

Drop us a message if you'd like to know more about how shockwave therapy could help you.

Osteitis P***s – What You Need to Know

Osteitis p***s is an overuse injury at the front of the pelvis, where the two pelvic bones meet (the symphysis p***s). It often develops from repetitive activities like running, kicking, or sit-ups, and is common in sports such as football, hockey, athletics, and marathon running.

The main symptom is groin pain, sometimes accompanied by tenderness over the p***c bone and discomfort during certain movements. Early assessment and treatment are important to prevent prolonged pain, secondary injuries, and impact on sports performance.

If you've noticed persistent groin pain after repetitive exercise or sports, early physiotherapy can make a big difference.

That tingling or numbness in your fingers isn't just "bad circulation" β€” it could be Ulnar Nerve Entrapment.
Left untreated, it can lead to weakness or loss of grip strength.
The earlier you get assessed, the quicker you recover. πŸ’ͺ

If you're noticing symptoms, book an assessment at GX Physio β€” we'll help identify the cause, relieve the pressure, and keep your hands strong and pain-free. πŸ™Œ

Getting elbow pain during tricep dips? πŸ‹οΈβ€β™‚οΈ

It's a common issue we see β€” especially when the movement goes too deep or places too much strain on the joint capsule. Instead of pushing through the pain, try this safer variation: perform your dips on an elevated surface with bent knees so you can better control your range.

You can also switch to a tricep kickback using a dumbbell while keeping your elbow close to your side β€” it targets the same muscle without stressing the elbow joint.

Protect your joints, build strength smarter, and keep your training pain-free. πŸ’ͺ

πŸ‘‰ If elbow pain keeps coming back, it's worth getting assessed by a physiotherapist.
