Here are a few pics 📸with just a snapshot of what we got up to🙌

We kicked things off with a wiggly, creepy-crawly warm-up in our spring garden, channeling our inner caterpillars🌱🐛.

Then, we dove into an epic Easter Bunny Adventure, on a mission to track down the Missing Easter Eggs! Our journey took us through forests 🌳🌳 bustling with animals– think dogs🐕, horses🐎, and even frogs 🐸 (yes, yoga poses galore!). To cross the water, we had to get inventive with partner balancing boats. 🚣‍♀️

As we wrapped up our Easter Bunny Adventure we of course needed to find the Easter 🐰 missing eggs! It was time for the Egg Hunt 🥚🥚and to search👀 for the eggs high and low!

The children had a lot of fun finding them and then realising each one had a clue🔎 inside! It was time to be detectives🕵‍♂️🕵‍♀️ and solve those clues to lead to the special Easter

We had a blast including:

The kids totally rocked with their craft skills at the jam-packed 2-hour Easter Yoga & Craft Workshop on March 28th! From painting Easter clay to crafting Chick Decorations and getting into Mindful Colouring. We saw awesome focus and flair!

Shoutout to .creatif for the cool Chick decoration inspiration – the kids nailed it using some templates, cutting, sticking, and adding their own touches. What a lot of great craft aiding 🧠.
They even wrote sweet Easter messages on the back, making them both hangable decorations and cards.

Their clay painting skills were on point, too – so much focus and mindful attention to detail as they picked between Easter eggs, bunnies, chicks and baskets. And yep, we definitely squeezed in some chill mindful colouring time too. 🎨🐣

Daffodils for Spring Mindfulness 🌼💐

Familiar with the traditional raisin exercise in a mindfulness class? Well we do that with the daffodils🙂. Except of course we don't eat them after paying mindful attention to what they look like! We used them for breathwork of course! 🫁👃🌼

When did you last really look at the detail of a flower? How can this be translated to real life? ➡️ what are you missing by moving too fast?

I really like this 📸. The children are so engrossed in the activity, and it captures so many elements to help build physical and emotional wellbeing....

I can see so many aspects going on in this photo...just a few... 😊

What were we doing?

Having chosen their favourite poses they worked on their strength to maintain and steadiness whilst their friends drew around their hands or feet with a felt tip. This is not easy when on one foot in ✈️ and the felt tip is tickly! 😂

We all learn in so many different ways and taking the poses off the mat into a different context can help and consolidate learning.

And we certainly didn't waste the paper....we used it for mindful colouring🌈

Woo hoo! We are pleased to announce the launch of our new weekly Yoga and Wellbeing Club 😁🙂

We have had so many requests over the last few years to bring these back. So after a last minute ⏰️ opening we've leapt on the chance and gone for it. 😊👌🥳

Classes will be small and tailored. And we can't wait to bring our blend of yoga and wellbeing fun. 🧘‍♀️😌⚖️🙌 🎉 Please check out our website for all the amazing benefits of these classes for the little people in your life...and also a post over the weekend.

A couple of days before Christmas, Yogi Explorers ran a session at the fantastic fun filled
Christmas camp.

We had a lovely time. It was an action-packed session with a range of activities to incorporate different aspects of yoga and wellbeing - all with a festive twist 🎅🎄

This afternoon we welcomed back my lovely friend Becky from for a festive yoga and mindfulness games session. The children loved moving around the different ‘stations’ - holding the Christmas tree pose whilst others decorated you with tinsel and baubles was fun! I loved making a paper chain of things that are important to us and the toe-yoga was fab! Children had to decorate a Christmas tree with Pom Poms using only their toes. We ended up turning out the lights for some relaxation and breathing. Merci Becky for a wonderful afternoon.

🍊 Mindful Mandarins 🍊

With Chinese and Lunar New Year celebrations🎆🎉 typically lasting 15 days we have been continuing with this theme in many of our classes.

At are often given as a way to show and others

So we used these 🍊 to explore and

Initially, we looked and felt the mandarins. What do they notice?

We then ⚖️ them on our heads and then lying down on our abdomen and observed how they moved up and down as we 🫁

🍊How does the manadarin move?
🍊Could we change the pace?
🍊Could we make it slower and more steady?
🍊How does it feel?

They were very pleased to take their mandarins home!

In some longer classes, for older children, we went on to do some of the mandarins. It's fantastic to see the penny drop with the realisation of the difference of 'eating' and eating with a mindful approach.
