🌺 Armistice Day – Lest We Forget

Today, on Armistice Day, we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service, and those who continue to stand for peace and freedom around the world.

At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, the guns fell silent — marking the end of the First World War in 1918. We honour the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of all who served, and we reflect on the cost of war and the value of peace.

🇬🇧 Veterans Coffee Morning – Armistice Day 🇬🇧

Tomorrow morning from 10:30am, we’ll be hosting a Veterans Coffee Morning here at Grace Manor to mark Armistice Day.

All are welcome to join us as we come together to enjoy a cuppa, share stories, and take a moment to remember and honour those who served. ❤️

❤️ Remembrance Afternoon at Grace Manor ❤️

Today, we gathered together for a special Remembrance Afternoon Tea, reflecting on the meaning of the day and sharing heartfelt stories of loved ones who served. It was a time of gratitude, pride, and remembrance.

Also here are the photos of our beautiful poppy display being created — truly a labour of love! A huge thank you to Gabriele for her wonderful many crocheted poppies, and to Belinda, Caroline and everyone that worked so hard crafting poppies from felt. 🌺

And of course, a special mention to Simba and Nala, who wore their purple poppies — lovingly crocheted by Gabriele — to honour all the animals who served alongside our heroes. They wore them proudly and looked absolutely adorable! 🐾💜

We remember with love, gratitude, and pride — today and always.

✨ A Lovely Day at Grace Manor! ✨

It’s been a wonderful day full of smiles and activities! 💕

This afternoon, Beryl got creative making beautiful Christmas cards — it’s never too early to start spreading some festive cheer!

Earlier this morning, Jackie enjoyed some special time with Simba, and Anne was treated to a relaxing manicure. 🐾 💅 💖

We love seeing our residents making the most of every moment here at Grace Manor. 🌟

Just a little note to let everyone know that Family Quiz Night has been moved from Wednesday to Tuesday 11th this week. 🗓️

It’s all for a great cause — every penny raised will go towards supporting our Veteran’s Charity 🇬🇧💙

It's £5 per person, with complimentary drinks and snacks. 😁

✨ Afternoon fun at Grace Manor! ✨

Today we enjoyed afternoon entertainment with our resident favourite, Leona 💕 Her beautiful voice lit up the room with sing-alongs, clapping, and plenty of foot-tapping! 👏🎤

Norma and Ada especially loved the 1930s medley — singing along at the top of their voices and bringing so much joy to everyone around them 🎵😊

A perfect way to brighten up Firework Night — full of music, laughter, and sparkle! ✨🎶

🌸 A Lovely Morning at Grace Manor! 🌸

It’s been a beautiful start to the day — Tina’s been absolutely glowing after her hair transformation, all thanks to the lovely Leanda 💇‍♀️✨ She looks fantastic!

Meanwhile, Lewis enjoyed some rare and special time with our friend Nala 🐾 — those cuddles don’t happen too often, so it’s definitely worth celebrating.😆

❤️🌺 A Special Visit at Grace Manor Today 🌺❤️

Today we were delighted to welcome back the wonderful children from Twydall Primary School! 🧒👧

Together, we spent a lovely time colouring poppies for Remembrance Day, chatting about what the poppies mean, and reflecting on the importance of remembering those who served. 🇬🇧✨

Of course, our furry friend Simba made sure to say hello to everyone — and loved all the attention! 🐾❤️

It was such a heartwarming visit, full of laughter, learning, and friendship across generations. 💕
