The mindset makeover workshops are starting in February. The format will be a mixture of knowledge building, reflective activities and building a toolbox of coping techniques to help you keep grounded and calm. We aim to create a personal and supportive environment.

You can book your place here:

You can book anything from one up to all six sessions. Each session is £15. You can pay for all your bookings up front or each one month by month.

We'll contact you with details of how to pay once you've registered. Please note we'll need payment for each workshop at least 3 weeks in advance.

I don't often post inspirational quotes, but how could I ignore the wise words of Superman? 😉🦸🏻‍♂️

Sometimes we can be so focused on meeting the expectations placed on us by ourselves and others, that we can forget to be human, to allow ourselves to feel, to allow ourselves to screw up. Even superheroes get scared and it's OK if you do too.

Anxiety is more than worry. It's a whole mind and body experience. Try these tips to help manage your anxiety

➡️ Try mindfulness and meditation to engage your parasympathetic nervous system - this can help you feel more regulated. See my blog from last year for ideas: peaceinmind.co.uk/rest-and-digest

➡️ Create a calming toolkit - collect soothing things that help tap into your different senses. This could be a soft blanket, a playlist, a scented candle, a picture, etc.

➡️ Look for triggers and patterns. Does your anxiety increase in certain situations? Is it affected when you eat or drink certain things, e.g. caffeine, alcohol, etc?

➡️ Understand your anxiety by journaling and / or speaking to someone

Christmas can get lonely sometimes and the busyness of festive period can make things feel worse. Talking Tables offer a warm and friendly welcome that encourages conversations and connection. Just by simply having a chat with someone can really brighten your day. Talking Tables are free to attend and take place in:

- cafés
- faith and church-based spaces
- community halls
- libraries

Take a seat, stay for 5 minutes or longer if you're enjoying chatting. Locations are open across the festive period (apart from bank holidays).
