🎃 What to do with your leftover pumpkins! 💙

Now that the spooky fun is over, don’t throw your pumpkins in the bin! There are some great ways to reuse or recycle them — and help the environment too 🌍

♻️ Compost them: Pumpkins break down easily and make great compost.
🐿️ Feed the wildlife: Leave pumpkin chunks in your garden for birds, squirrels and hedgehogs (just remove any candles or decorations first).
🍲 Cook them up: If your pumpkin’s still fresh, make a warming soup or pie!
🚮 Dispose responsibly: If you can’t reuse it, check your local council’s food waste collection.

Your local chemist is more than just a medicine counter! 💙

They can offer:

✅ Expert advice — Pharmacists are trained to give guidance on medicines, side-effects and how to use treatments safely.

✅ Treatment of common infections — Under the NHS Pharmacy First service, some pharmacies can supply prescription medicines for conditions like earache, ­sinusitis, urinary tract infections, shingles and more, so you often don’t need to wait for a GP appointment.

✅ Safe medicine supply and review — Chemists handle dispensing of prescriptions, repeat prescriptions, disposal of unwanted medicines, and reviewing newer medications.

✅ Signposting & support — If your condition is more complex, the pharmacist can refer you to a GP or other healthcare professional, making sure you’re in the right place for care.
