🌈 DriveAbility Scotland supports Neurodiversity Celebration Week 2026 (16-20 March)!
This week celebrates the many ways people think, learn and experience the world.
Neurodiversity recognises that neurological differences such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia and dyspraxia are natural variations in how our brains work - and that different ways of thinking bring valuable strengths to our communities.
At DriveAbility Scotland, we see this every day through the journeys of the people we support.
Our specialist driving instructors work closely with occupational therapists to provide personalised driving assessments, lessons and theory test support.
By tailoring our approach to each learner’s strengths and needs, we help people build confidence, skills and independence - whether that means progressing towards a driving test, exploring adapted driving solutions, or building confidence behind the wheel.
For many people, learning to drive represents far more than simply operating a vehicle. It can open doors to employment, education, social opportunities and greater personal freedom. Through patient, specialist support and accessible learning environments, our team helps individuals take important steps towards greater independence and mobility.
Did you know? 🤔
Around 15-20% of people are neurodivergent, and creating environments where different thinking styles are understood and supported benefits everyone. When systems become more accessible, flexible and inclusive, more people are able to thrive.
At DriveAbility Scotland, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to explore independence, develop confidence and reach their potential. By providing specialist driving support and tailored assessments, we help people discover what is possible and move forward on their own journey.
Together, during Neurodiversity Celebration Week and beyond, let’s continue to understand, accept and celebrate neurodiversity!
