Join us in our cosy studio, where fairy lights and candles create a serene and inviting atmosphere, setting the perfect mood for deep relaxation.

Embark on a deeply restorative journey in this special class combining gentle movement, Yoga Nidra, and sound healing. Begin with 10 minutes of gentle asana (postures) to release tension and prepare the body for stillness.

We will then transition into Shavasana for our Yoga Nidra practice (a state of deep rest that soothes the mind and nervous system). You will be supported by bolsters, blankets, and eye pillows to enhance your comfort. We recommend bringing a pillow to support your head for an extra touch of coziness. During the practice of Yoga Nidra, the soft, healing tones of sound bowls will weave through the space, deepening your sense of calm.

The session flows seamlessly into a tranquil sound bath. Immerse yourself in the soothing vibrations of drums, gongs, chimes, and Tibetan bowls as their resonant tones gently wash over you. This deeply restorative experience allows you to fully relax, release tension, and sink into a profound state of rest and renewal.

This class is an invitation to step away from the busyness of life and give yourself the gift of true rest.

Finnieston Yoga Shala

We are a lovely boutique studio in the heart of Finnieston, Glasgow. We teach Ashtanga yoga in the tradition of the late Sri K. Pattabi Jois and his grandson Sharath Jois from Mysore in Southern India. We also teach Hatha flow and Yin Yoga as well as offer Yoga Teacher Training for dedicated students and teachers. The studio is run by Cathy Moran from Ashtanga Yoga Glasgow and Gem Maryan from Gem Maryan Yoga.

We are a small team of passionate and highly experienced teachers dedicated to teaching traditional yoga, which incorporates asana (postures) chanting (traditionally in sanskrit) and in depth knowledge of the yoga tradition (so not just postural yoga).

If you are looking to create a deep connection to your body, mind and Spirit we are the perfect fit for you. We only take a small number of students in each class. You can be guaranteed our full attention, we are here to help you dive into the world of yoga in a safe and nurturing environment, whether you are a brand new yoga student of a seasoned yogi.
