In this workshop we'll be looking at ways to include these very beneficial postures into your daily practice. This workshop is suitable for those who are already starting to practice inverted asanas in class and for those wishing to evolve their technique further. We'll also be including some alternatives for students who may be finding these postures physically challenging. This will then be followed with a sequence of supported postures and variations.

** Exploring Level 2 Asanas with Helen Graham **

Location: Studio Harmony, Govan, Glasgow
First Session: Saturday 31st January, 1–3 p.m.
Cost: Β£35

Helen is offering a new workshop for all students and teachers interested in exploring Level 2 asanas. The afternoon will focus on developing your practice and gaining a deeper understanding of key Level 2 poses. The session is suitable for anyone, students or teachers who wants to broaden their practice, as well as for those who are interested in working towards the Level 2 exam.

The workshop will cover:
β€’ Progressive work into essential Level 2 asanas
β€’ Strength, mobility, and alignment preparation
β€’ Individual guidance and refinement
β€’ Support for those working toward the Level 2 exam

Numbers are limited to allow for personal attention.
This workshop will run on a drop-in basis, with 3–4 sessions offered throughout the year depending on interest.

The final session: And again, barely a bolster in sight πŸ˜…

In a room packed full with teachers and experienced practitioners we assisted eachother and shared our insights to improve our "performance", as they say in Pune πŸ™πŸΎ (what we call "practice")

As I interpret it* mostly what we do is fit ourselves into an asana like an actor takes on a role. We put on our leggings, swallow our fear and do what we think is needed to create the appearance of a pose 🎭

But once we rehearse enough, we become truly practiced, so that the asana comes out from within us - our expression of yoga πŸ•‰

However, the pictures don't show the whole journey or how we were all encouraged to make our own way, in what I call the "Maria Method"* of yoga, whereby if you can't make it in by the door, then try a window πŸ˜‰
