✨ Yoga didn’t just help me heal — it helped me live again.
It became my way back to me.
For a long time after treatment, every twinge or ache sent me spiralling into fear.
I felt completely disconnected from my body — worn down and uncertain after all the scans, chemotherapy, tests, and radiotherapy.
My identity had taken a massive shift — from how I looked physically to how I felt emotionally.
I had faced my own mortality. I’d been given another chance at life.
For a whole year, I was part of a system that made so many decisions for me.
Then, when I was discharged — although it was amazing — I was left to figure out how to fit back into the world on my own.
How my future would look.
Where I would even begin.
So, I started where I could.
Yoga was there for me.
She stepped in and saved me once again.
Yoga helped me rebuild trust in my body, find safety in my own skin, and connect to something much bigger than fear.
It wasn’t just about movement — it became a daily reminder that I was alive, that healing was possible, that I had survived — and that I was stronger than I ever knew I could be.
Finishing treatment and going into remission can bring mixed emotions.
We might no longer need medical support, but I truly believe this is one of the most important steps in healing — finding the space, practices, and support that help you not just live in your new normal, but give your experience meaning.
Life can be scary — with cancer and without.
The good thing is, there are far more important things available to us than fear.
💫 Yoga gave me the courage to let life in again.
That’s why I teach it today.
Harper Healing & Wellbeing was — and always will be — a space to reconnect with yourself, to find peace in your body and mind again, and to rediscover the joy of simply being alive. 🩷
