Allowing kindness towards yourself, sensing where your breath is rising and falling in your body.
Rest here for as long as you need to.

'There once was a boy who always worried about what he would do with his life and how he would make a living.
There simply wasn't time in his life to be happy.
All he had time to do was plan for the future.
He would tell himself
"I'll be happy once I get a career and start making money, then I'll be happy"
He worked very hard indeed until he established himself in a good career making a lot of money and respected by many, but, he wasn't happy.
He was too busy thinking about all the things he didn't have, so he told himself
"I'll be happy once I have a family"
And so it went on: he got married, he had kids. He had enough money to send them to the best schools. He eventually had grandkids and so on....
But, there was always something else he strived for....
And in the end, he died having a wonderful life - yet he never stopped to appreciate it.

Moral of the story?

Don't wait to be happy, someday is today.
Life shows up for all of us, yes there will be difficult moments but it's in these moments we forget to live.
Things pass along with time.
The only time we have is now, today
So be happy right in this moment ❤️

Self care isn't selfish its imperative to your mental, emotional and psychological wellbeing.
Do what you need to do to feel better.

Remember when you were at your best, what did you do to get through tough times.?
When we aren't at our best we can't think straight, so remembering what we did in the past to get through can feel like a small lifeline.

Be kind to yourself ❤️

Good evening,
I hope you managed to enjoy what today brought, even though it may have been a struggle for you.

It's not easy under the circumstances however, maybe start by doing something for yourself.

Finding 10 minutes in the day, to enjoy a cuppa, sitting and relaxing rather than thinking what you need to be doing next.

If you're feeling overwhelmed, take time out and try some 4 square breathing.
A great technique to keep you grounded and refocused.

Try looking at a picture (square) and use this as a visual aid for the 4 square breathing technique.

Whatever you do today, be kind to yourself first💞

I am offering socially distanced wellbeing walks and chats incorporating some mindfulness and relaxation techniques if anyone would like to join in on Mondays and Fridays
I can accommodate 5 people at a time.... Glasgow Green..will be there 11.30 - 12.30
