In Royal Alexandra Hospital ICU, thousands of enteral feed & water bottles are used every year 🧴🧴🧴
πŸ’‘ I led a quality improvement project to:
πŸ‘₯ Set up a Multi‑Disciplinary Green Team
πŸ—‘οΈ Introduce 2 new waste streams in ICU
βœ… We now have:
♻️ Dry Mixed Recycling for suitable, non‑infectious recyclables
🧴 High‑grade plastics recycling for enteral feed & water bottles β€” these can be reprocessed into new materials!
🌱 This is a new way of working and we’re learning as we go β€” but I’m incredibly grateful πŸ™Œ
