🍭 Insulin
Insulin is another huge piece of the fertility puzzle.
When we carry extra body fat — especially around the middle — the cells can become resistant to insulin.
That means your body has to produce more and more of it to get glucose into your cells.
High insulin levels then tell your ovaries to produce more androgens (male hormones), and that can disrupt ovulation.
