Kinetic Chain Release is a specifically crafted, simple protocol to gently free the human body of its physical and energetic blocks to return the body to its natural, dynamic, energised, active and lively state.

If you’re working at a desk and/or sitting a lot of the day, having your knees below your spine and keeping your spine in a neutral position can help. If you sit, trying sitting like this and notice if you feel a difference 💫

If the spine stays neutral then there’s less stress on ligaments and discs

👉Obviously moving is better than being static, but this is a pretty good starting place for those that work from home or spend any period of time at a screen! 🙌

😬 My screen should really be higher than in this vid, but the separate keyboard is CRUCIAL to making this posture work 👊

☝️Ideally we should keep varying our posture and keep things fluid 👌

I’ll be open as normal during COP26, though some of the roads south of the clinic will be closed for the duration. You may be impacted if you’re travelling from the Southside to me, so leave a bit of extra time if you’re booked in for an appointment in the next two weeks.

I’m planning to use my bike, and walk as much as possible for the next fortnight at least, who’s joining me? 🚲🏃‍♀️🌎

Road closures: 🚗

M8 eastbound slip road from Tradeston
Clydeside Expressway, between M8 junction 19 to Hayburn St, Stopcross Rd & Castlebank St
Pacific Dv across Clyde Arc (Squinty) Bridge to Finneston St at Argyle St junction

It’s 51 years since ‘Earth Day’; peace activist John McConnell first proposed this day to honour the Earth and the concept of peace, it took place on 21st March 1970, the first day of spring.

It’s the opening day of COP26 here in Glasgow, it’s going to be a challenging couple of weeks for us, and for the world, we’re hopeful that real changes can be made for the future of our planet 🌍✨

Trying these out during Movement Therapy class with Clare

Most of us are born with perfect feet, toes that are straight and well spaced apart which are very dextrous; with the widest part being at the ends of our toes 𝙣𝙤𝙩 the balls of our feet as is common in us shoe-wearing adults. Years of wearing conventional footwear can change the appearance of our feet, causing the toes to become crooked, bent or curled, with the big toe deviating in towards the others.

Wearing toe spacers regularly are an easy way to help widen the toes, providing a more stable, mobile base for our bodies - alongside active rehabilitation of the feet.

I have a toe on my left foot that curls under the others, so I’ve been wearing these, doing some exercises in class, and some mobility exercises myself to improve that. I used to think this was something I couldn’t change! ✨
