My belief is in helping people to be the best they can be; creating an environment where people become more aware of their own body and mind and the interaction between the two. Through massage we can identify problem areas before they impact on health and encourage the body to heal itself and therefore Restore Balance. Movement is medicine for the body and through yoga and other therapeutic forms of movement/exercise we can help to keep our bodied and our mind in balance.

I was really interested to find out more on the health benefits of eating grapefruits or drinking grapefruit juice after listening to a podcast about cortisol levels. We want cortisol levels to be highest in the morning to get us going and lowest in the evenings to promote sleep. Having a grapefruit (in any form) as part of your morning routine works to keep cortisol levels raised when we need to work/train/think. This article gives loads of other reasons why we should consume more grapefruit.

An easy way to boost energy levels, fight fatigue, and achieve optimal health - eating juicy and delicious grapefruit will keep you incredibly healthy.

Inspired by the landscape & tranquility of Argyll I have put together a yummy yoga sequence which is focussed much more on feeling than 'achieving'.
You'll be invited to be more tuned in to your body and to move in ways that feel intuitive to you. We'll be using our big yoga bolsters and with any luck be practicing in the garden at Riverside Hall.
Class is on Easter Monday 9.30am. Suited to all levels. A warm welcome awaits!

Sound-body Synergy: A sound bath with touch and movement.

This is the offering of Iain Ross, Glasgow Sound Bath, and Lucy Trend, Shiatsu and Thai Massage Training Scotland, who combine their skills to create this unique experience of Sound Body Synergy.

Iain Ross brings together many years of experience as a musician, sound therapist and healer to facilitate a heightened flow-state of alert presence and deep relaxation.

Originally a dance and movement artist, Lucy brings hands-on mindful touch skills from her Shiatsu and Thai Massage background to guide a deeply embodied and somatic experience of the sound.
