The gynaecology service at Ross Hall Hospital provides fast access to scans, diagnosis and individualised treatment plans. You can see one of our Consultant Gynaecologists for a range of conditions including:

• heavy periods
• abdomen or pelvic pain during or between periods
• intermediate or irregular period
• endometriosis

Our Gynaecologists are supported by a dedicated multidisciplinary team including, specialist nurses, dedicated women’s health physiotherapists and radiographers to ensure you receive a thorough understanding of your condition and how to best manage it.

Did you know March is Endometriosis Awareness Month?

Endometriosis is a condition where tissue, similar to the lining of the uterus, grows outside the uterus and acts just like the lining inside the uterus would. With each menstrual cycle, the tissue breaks down and bleed but cannot leave the body.

Endometriosis can cause heavy, painful periods and fertility issues amongst other symptoms. That’s why it is important to been seen by a Consultant Gynaecologist or your GP as soon as possible as there are diagnostic tests and treatment options available.

We are proud to become the first private hospital in Scotland, and among the first within Circle Health Group, to introduce the Johnson & Johnson MedTech VARIPULSE™ Pulsed Field Ablation (PFA) system for the treatment of atrial fibrillation.

The technology has been introduced under the clinical leadership of Dr Gary Wright, Consultant Cardiologist and Senior Arrhythmia Specialist, who founded and established the electrophysiology and ablation service at Ross Hall Hospital.

Pulsed Field Ablation is an emerging, non-thermal ablation technology designed to treat atrial fibrillation with a strong focus on procedural safety while maintaining clinical effectiveness.
