A cancer diagnosis can be incredibly difficult news to receive. At Ross Hall Hospital, your consultant and our specialist cancer nurses will ensure you receive all the information, guidance and support you need at this difficult time.

Through our dedicated oncology unit, every patient has 24-hour support from highly experienced oncology staff and is assessed and triaged in accordance with the UK Oncology Nursing Society (UKONS) triage system. You will also benefit from consultant lead individualised treatment plans and 1-1 care in a comfortable, patient-friendly environment.

Mr Alex Hrycaiczuk is a Consultant Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgeon at Ross Hall Hospital.

He has a particular interest in modern, minimally invasive techniques designed to optimise outcomes, reduce post-operative pain, and accelerate rehabilitation.

Mr Hrycaiczuk treats a wide range of conditions and where appropriate, he prioritises non-surgical and joint-preserving treatments. When surgery is indicated, he adopts a balanced approach, combining established techniques with modern and emerging surgical options, including minimally invasive bunion and Achilles tendon surgery, with the aim of reducing recovery time and supporting a smooth and safe patient journey.

Mr Hrycaiczuk’s clinical interests include:

• Minimally invasive bunion surgery (hallux valgus)

At Ross Hall Hospital we are looking for a Specialist Nurse – Oncology/SACT to come and join our team. Duties of the role will include:

• To deliver safe, high-quality, evidence-based care within your area of specialism, acting as a clinical expert and role model
• To support assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management of patients with complex or long-term conditions
• To contribute to the development and implementation of care pathways and protocols based on national guidelines and best practice
• To provide education, support, and counselling to patients and families, empowering them to understand and manage their health conditions

Those applying should be a Registered Nurse (Adult, Child, or Mental Health, depending on specialty) with valid NMC registration, have significant post-registration experience in the relevant specialty area and demonstrable specialist knowledge and advanced clinical skills within a defined field
