Happy International Nurses Day! We are incredibly lucky to have a fantastic, dedicated nursing team throughout all of our sites. In a time that has been incredibly difficult, our nurses have shown us just how powerful and talented they are. From providing cakes to COVID vaccinations, we are very grateful for everything that they do.

Massive push from us here at Barclay medical practice to get all of our over 75 year old patients vaccinated.

We are glad to announce that we have successfully vaccinated over 98% of our over 75 year old patients.

COVID Vaccinations

Patients aged 80+ years:
The practice will contact you in the next few days to ask if you would like the vaccination when we receive a supply.

Housebound over 80s:
Your vaccination will be given by a community care team. They will contact you directly to arrange a house visit.

Patients aged between 50 and 79:
You will receive a letter from the health board in relation to a vaccination appointment.

Please ensure your details are up to date with the practice through our website to ensure you receive communication from the practice/health board.

New Lock Down in January

Following the recent update from the government please ensure that you only attend the practice for face to face appointments which have been agreed by a clinician or to collect a prescription which can not be sent directly to a pharmacy. DO NOT ATTEND THE SURGERY TO REQUEST AN APPOINTMENT. Telephone appointments will continue to be offered in the first instance.

Easter Bank Holiday Weekend - All 6 practices will be closed 19th, 20th, 21st and 22nd April 2019.
If you become unwell on these days and can't wait for your surgery to re-open or, have a more serious illness that can't be treated by a pharmacist, then you can get assistance by calling NHS 24 on 111.

Please do not attend the out-of-hours service without first calling NHS 24 on 111.
