ELSS are looking for Support workers to assist service users with day to day tasks in Coatbridge.

These can include moving and handling, personal care, medication, food prep and also assisting to outings in the community.

Experience in working in homecare is desirable but not essential as training is provided.

A knowledge of the Coatbridge area is also desirable but not essential.

The applicant will need to have or be willing to work towards an SVQ3.

Β£10.30 per hour.
Full time, part time and bank contracts available.

I’d just like to say a huge thank you to the carers for their hard work today with such adverse weather conditions. A couple of staff got phoned out of their beds to help, the girls cars got stuck and abandoned, they had to walk to services. It was all a bit manic and very stressful but they all did an amazing job and everyone got the support they required, although I was grateful to those that cancelled their support as they made life that wee bit easier πŸ˜… Everyone is now home safe and sound ready to do it all over again tomorrow. πŸ’ŽπŸŒˆβ€οΈ

It’s been a tough and challenging year for us all but the staff from ELSS have been absolutely AMAZING!
A huge thank you to them for helping to keep everyone safe and well looked after during these scary and unprecedented times. You have kept, not only the service users spirits up but ours too. πŸ’– We really do have the best (and some of the craziest) carers ever!! πŸŒˆπŸ’– !!
