All praise is due to Allah ﷻ, and peace and blessings be upon the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

Following verified moon sighting reports in accordance with accepted criteria, we are pleased to announce that:

1st Shawwal 1447 AH (Eid al-Fitr) will be on
Friday, 20th March 2026

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all students, parents, staff, and the wider community on this blessed occasion.

May Allah ﷻ accept our fasting, prayers, and good deeds during the month of Ramadan, and grant us all continued guidance, unity, and prosperity. Ameen.

Let us remember those in need and keep the Ummah in our du’as, especially our brothers and sisters facing hardship around the world.

Assalamu Alaikum
Please note that Isha prayer at ILC will begin at 8:30pm, followed by Taraweeh Insha’Allah.
Throughout the blessed month, you will have the opportunity to listen to the beautiful recitation of the Qur’an.
Ladies and children are most welcome. We kindly request that parents ensure younger children observe the etiquettes of the mosque and avoid making noise while others are engaged in listening to the Holy Qur’an.
Please also cooperate with the car parking attendants. If you intend to pray fewer than 20 rak‘ahs, kindly inform the attendants upon arrival so they can guide you to appropriate parking and prevent you from being blocked in.

*Sunnats of the Day of Eid*
To rise early.
To clean the teeth with miswāk.
To have a masnūn bath.
To dress in one's best garments in an Islamic manner.
To use 'itr (apply fragrance).
To go early for Eid Salāh.
To go walking for Eid Salāh.
To use different routes to and from the place of Eid Salāh.
To read the Takbīrāt of Tashrīq in a low voice while going for the Eid Salāh:

*Allāhu akbar Allāhu akbar
lā ilāha illallāhu wallāhu akbar
Allāhu akbar wa lillāhil hamd*

*The Method of Eid Salāh
1. Make niyyah (intention) of performing two raka'āts wājib of Eid Ul Adha behind the imām, with six wājib takbīr.

2. The first takbīr in the first rak'ah is the takbīr tahrīmah which is followed by three wājib takbīr. Raise your hands to the ears in all four takbīr (saying the takbīr).

However, after the first takbīr fold the hands under the navel and read thanā (sub'hānakallāhumma...).

Thereafter, in the following two takbīr raise the hands up to the ears and drop them on the sides and after the fourth takbīr fold them again.

3. The imām will recite Sūrah-al-Fātihah and another sūrah and go into rukū' and sajdah etc. as usual.

4. In the second rak'ah, after the recitation and before rukū' another three takbīr will be called. In all three takbīr raise the hands to the ears and drop them on the sides and go into rukū' when the fourth takbīr is called.

Eid al-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, is a time of reflection, gratitude, and unity. May Allah (SWT) accept our sacrifices, grant peace to all, and bless our families and communities with joy and unity.

The Qur’an is the speech of our creator sent down for our guidance. If we are not able to connect with the Qur’an we are denying ourselves of a great virtue.
