Missing this wee fuzzball a lot. 2 years gone 🦊
Any dog owners living in Southside need a pup checked in on or walked regularly? As I recover I am hoping to spend more time with some four legged friends.

Obligatory ‘I’m in the hospital, look at me in the hospital’ post.
Guys, do everything you can to avoid cause take it from me they suck.
Nurses, auxiliaries, porters, domestic service workers, sonographers, lab chemists and support workers, registrars, doctors, student nurses, healthcare assistant support staff, bed managers have all blown my mind with their skill, love, openness, compassion and humour.
Human to human love and care really has reduced my pain and fear.
First pain free sleep in weeks was just glorious. Now just to patiently await the arrival of my fave human for the next instalment of the glorious

Badass Birth

I have been attending births since 2016 and still wake every morning beaming at my decision to do so. I work with unapologetic transparency and honesty. Your time with me will not be decorated with patronising opinions or unnecessary fuss. I simply want to facilitate you achieving the birth YOU want. I will always provide evidence based, reliable information. I will dedicate myself to walking alongside you on your journey, never expecting you to faulter but simply being there, should you need me.

Many people ask me what I do when I’m at a birth and the answer is simple, whatever you need. We will spend hours together before the big day and I will use this time to explore your hopes, wishes, fears (if any) and concerns about your birth. You tell me what you want and I turn up and provide as much of it that is within my power. I am particularly drawn to the advocacy of the Doula role. I enjoy working with people as they make decisions on their care and choices. On the day of the birth I have a copy of your birth plan handy so that I can ensure all people in the room are fully aware of your wishes. After baby arrives I will work with you as you learn to feed and will again assist you in gathering any information or support you may need.
