Yummmmm! Does anyone remember these Halloween cakes from City Bakeries?

This takes me back to my teen years - I would spend my hard earned cash at the fruiterers and buy one of these big cakes!

As it was my cake, of course I got to choose the best bits 🤣. My fav bits were the cheeks as they were filled with cream. I also loved all the wee trinkets on the cake too.

Happy memories and thank you to Glasgow blast from the past for the reminder.

Carl Jung said that "the heaviest burden a child carries is the unlived life of his Parents."

Therefore, parents must understand that the love they gave to their children, can never be returned or paid for by them, because life is priceless and the emotional debt that children carry, binds them and stops them to live their own life, to then assume the from his parents, for blind love, which is a love that hurts.

For this reason, after life, the greatest blessing that parents can give their children, is the permission for them to live their own lives, from the desire of their heart, so they can flourish with their new family and with their new projects, in the horizon of all possibilities and in tune with life.
