How Dry Salt Therapy Works for Athletes & Sportswomen / Men:

⚽️ Removes toxins and foreign substances from the respiratory tract

🥊 Dissipates mucus to remove airflow obstruction and maintain clear airways

🏋️‍♂️ Enhanced lung capacity leads to increased levels of oxygen and red blood cells, which can boost endurance and performance

🚴‍♀️ Reduces inflammation, kills harmful bacteria and helps prevent infection

🏃‍♂️ Helps to clear unwanted, inhaled particles from the respiratory tract

🏃‍♀️ Strengthened immune system

🏌️‍♀️ Helps improve breathing and accelerates recovery from respiratory conditions and injuries

🧘‍♀️ Increased mental wellbeing, and reduced stress & anxiety.

Example Respiratory Conditions that Affect an Athletes Performance:

⚡Airflow obstruction
⚡Exposure to airborne allergens
⚡Respiratory illnesses e.g. Asthma
⚡Respiratory infection
⚡Allergies and airway inflammation.

Poor Breathing Patterns can lead to:

⚡Increased dehydration
⚡Reduced stamina and performance
⚡Increased likelihood of cramps and injury
⚡Increased recovery time
⚡Elevated heart rate.

When athletes are able to optimise their breathing, less breath is is required, which, in turn, means they have more air in reserve to achieve superior performance.

Contact us here at Glasgow Salt Therapy to discuss how Dry Salt Therapy can aid your Performance & Recovery.

In 2006, the then-Department of Health carried out a ‘review of services for allergy’. They found that “that people with allergies often feel let down by a poor and frequently unobtainable service”, and that “for those living with allergy severe enough to require specialist care, the lack of allergy services is a problem which can greatly affect their quality of life.” They concluded that they would work with local commissioners to ensure the systematic planning and commissioning of services for allergies.

Twenty years later, the problems remain, little has changed. Allergy UK are working to change that.

United, we can tackle allergy.

Allergy season is approaching!

Salt Therapy offers allergy benefits by reducing e.g. inflammation, breaking down mucus, and clearing allergens from the airways using dry, microscopic salt particles. It acts as a natural, drug-free, and antibacterial treatment that can relieve nasal congestion and sneezing caused by allergens.
