⭐ Hi, In my work, I often meet people with swollen or cold feet, varicose veins, muscle soreness, inflammation, or long-term pain. If this sounds familiar, foot soaking may be a simple and helpful solution.👍
In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), there is a saying: “The feet are the root of the body.” Just like watering the roots of a tree supports its growth, caring for the feet helps support overall health. Foot soaking has been practiced for over 3,000 years as an effective wellness method.
Many of these symptoms are linked to poor 🩸 blood circulation, especially during colder months.
🦶Foot soaking helps improve circulation, which may ease swelling, coldness, and discomfort over time. This practice is suitable for all ages and is especially beneficial for older adults. While Chinese herbs are traditionally used, they can be hard to find in Scotland. A simple alternative is fresh ginger, which is easily available at supermarkets—just slice a few pieces and add them to warm water.
You can soak your feet for about 15 minutes, even while watching TV. The best time is in the evening, around one hour after dinner, to help your body relax and improve sleep.💤
🚨Please note:
If you have high or low blood pressure and heart conditions or are pregnant keep the water temperature gentle.
⛔Avoid foot soaking during menstruation or you have open wounds or skin infections on your feet.
Foot soaking works best when done regularly. If you’re new to it, try doing it for seven consecutive days to start noticing changes.
