Studio 70 Yoga & Reformer Pilates Studio 70 is a warm, welcoming and relaxing space in the heart of Glasgow's Southside. Our community is inclusive to all ages, body types and abilities.

A relaxing space in the south of the city, Studio 70 is Glasgow Southside's newest yoga studio. Our aim is to provide a supportive and nurturing environment for people to explore awareness of body and mind through mindful movement. We offer a range of classes in Flow, Restorative, Meditation, pregnancy and classes designed for kids, teens and over 50s.

We’ve been able to use Studio 70’s platform to do some pretty special things this year and we wouldn’t have been able to support some pretty amazing causes and people without your support. When you visit us you’re also facilitating some really cool things we’ll leave below. Thank you for supporting us all.

Anybody who’s been in my class will be sick of hearing me say ‘lift the bottom side of your waist’🫠 but it’s for good reason!

Although you might feel like your teacher is nagging, they’re making sure that small form errors repeated over time don’t lead to overuse injuries or muscle imbalances.

And I know in the moment it can feel better to just take a weeeee rest and let the form collapse, you risk the allowing the superficial muscles to take over from the deep stabilisers, which reduces the effectiveness of the exercise.

This autumnal offering is based around the theme of harvest and rejuvenation and includes:

🍂 One hour-long yoga practice
🍂 A three-course vegetarian dinner locally prepared by Southside chef, Claire Macallister

Some more lessons from Navasana 👇⛵

When driving your boat you need to make sure:

1. That your boat is ship shape by looking after your body and mind

2. That the anchor is lifted - you're not stuck in place by thoughts that hold you back

3. That your captain knows the route you're heading, the goal, the aim, the dharma

4. That you're actively rowing rather than always being pulled by the currents

At the end of the day the destination is the same for us all - the near bank of the river symbolises birth and the far side symbolises death - it's the journey that your boat makes that's important

Garudasana also reminds us that curling inwards can be a strengthening place - from Garuda making himself small to fit through the hoop he was then able to spread his wings wide to defeat the snakes.

This is much like how we need the times of curling inwards in our own life, and from this place we can build the strength to spread wide and take action.

Our Story

Studio 70 is a warm, welcoming and relaxing space in the heart of Glasgow’s Southside. Our aim is to provide a supportive and nurturing environment for people to explore awareness of body and mind through mindful movement. Our community is inclusive to all ages, body types and abilities. We offer a range of classes in Flow, Restorative, Yin and Gentle Yoga. Pilates and Animal Flow are also on offer if you want to try something different, that will complement your yoga practice.

If you have a specific goal or area of your yoga practice that you’d like to focus on, 121 yoga is available on request. Based on the info you provide us, we can match you with one of our instructors who is best suited to your needs.

At Studio 70 we recognise the need for stress management in the workplace and we offer bespoke sessions and packages to a range of businesses. Our instructors can come to your workplace on an outreach basis.
