Today is World Down Syndrome Day 💙💛

And today, I’m celebrating my incredible son, Christy 💚 Born 5lbs 4 oz tiny baby with breathing difficulties, who spent the first week of his life in hospital.

Christy is now 21 years old and lives with Down syndrome and autism, and I honestly couldn’t be prouder of the amazing young man he is. He has brought so much love, laughter, and light into our lives — a true joy and an absolute blessing every single day.

Watching him grow, overcome challenges, endure 6 surgeries, losing his hearing and go on to achieve so much has been the greatest privilege. His strength, kindness, and unique way of seeing the world inspire me more than words can say.

Christy’s future is so bright and full of possibilities. He attends West College Scotland, plays guitar and loves Lewis Capaldi.
I’m so proud of everything he has done and everything he’s going to do. 💫

Today and every day, we celebrate my handsome young man.
