Born This Way

Born This Way Mother and Baby Wellness Classes The Born This Way Hypnobirthing programme is a full antenatal education programme with a positive approach.

The course teaches you how to have a positive experience no matter what type of birth you have and prepares you for all eventualities. The course teaches lots of tools to empower you and your birth companion to feel confident for the birthing day. The Hypno part involves teaching you techniques to learn how to become relaxed and in control. You will be the person that decides what you want to focu

s on and when you are in a deeply relaxed state you become more open to positive suggestions. The Hypno part also involves teaching the mind new, positive messages about birth which helps to remove learned messages that are no longer useful as you navigate your birth experience. The relaxation tools help to override negative thoughts of birth being something that should fill you with fear and dread. The Born This Way Hypnobirthing programme is taught over 10 hours as private sessions in the comfort of your own home or via zoom as live online sessions. I love seeing the difference I can help make to couples and hope to work with you soon.

Some stories stay with you… and this is one of them 💫

Welcoming Melissa & Paul back for the birth of their beautiful baby girl, Bonnie 🤍

There is something so special about supporting a family not just once, but again…
Because this time, it’s different.

This time they walked in with:
✨ deeper trust in their bodies
✨ a clearer understanding of their options
✨ and the quiet confidence that they can do this

Birth isn’t about doing it “perfectly” — it’s about feeling informed, supported, and in control of your experience.

And watching that unfold again for this family?
It never gets old.

Bonnie, you are so loved already 🤍

If you’re pregnant and wondering if you can feel calm, confident and in control of your birth too… you absolutely can.

This is exactly what I do.

✨ Ready to feel like this walking into your birth?

Confidence in the birth room doesn’t come from knowing exactly how the day will go—birth is unpredictable, after all! It comes from knowing you have the tools to handle whatever path the journey takes.

When you are truly informed:

• You feel ready to ask the right questions.

• You understand every one of your options.

• You make decisions from a place of strength, not pressure.

You deserve to feel heard, respected, and completely prepared. Let’s get you there.

The position you’ve been practising your whole life… and probably didn’t realise it 👀

Sitting on the toilet is one of the most natural ways your body knows how to release your pelvic floor.

Think about it… you don’t consciously “push” to wee or poo — your body lets go. Your jaw softens, your shoulders drop, and your pelvic floor naturally relaxes and opens.

✨ And that’s exactly what your body needs in labour.

When you sit in this position:
– Your pelvic floor lengthens instead of tightens
– Your sacrum has space to move (hello, more room for baby 👶)
– Gravity is working with you, not against you
– You’re tapping into a deeply conditioned reflex of “release”

This is why so many people feel more comfortable labouring on the toilet in early labour — it’s not random, it’s physiology.

But here’s the part most people miss…

👉 If you’re holding tension, clenching, or trying to force dilation, your body works against you.

👉 If you feel safe, relaxed, and able to let go — your cervix responds.

Birth isn’t about doing more.
It’s about allowing your body to do what it already knows how to do.

And this is exactly what I teach inside my courses — how to work with your body so you feel calm, in control, and confident in every stage of labour.

Because when you understand this… everything changes.

Congratulations Jodie & Brad on the arrival of beautiful Eimpha.

“I really believe if I hadn’t done the classes, it would’ve gone a completely different way… but I believed I could do it.”

This is exactly why I do what I do.

They joined my Zoom hypnobirthing course all the way from Cumbria — not because everything felt easy… but because it didn’t.

Because like so many parents, there was that quiet fear:
What if I lose control?
What if things don’t go to plan?

But instead of staying stuck in that uncertainty… they chose to prepare.

And that belief?
That shift from fear to I can do this?

That’s what changes births.

Not perfection.
Not luck.
Preparation.

Because when you understand your body, your options, and your power…
you don’t just “get through” birth — you experience it differently.

✨ Calm instead of panic
✨ Confidence instead of doubt
✨ Ownership instead of fear

Jodie — you didn’t just “get lucky”…
you got prepared.

If you’re sitting there wondering “what if it all goes wrong?”
This is your sign that it doesn’t have to.

Why me?
Because I’m a midwife who understands both the system and how to help you trust your body — so you can walk into birth feeling calm, informed, and in control.

Emily & Justin welcomed their beautiful baby girl, Charlotte 💕

There is something so special about supporting returning clients… being trusted not just once, but again, for one of the biggest moments of your life.

Watching you both step into this next chapter with even more confidence, calm, and trust in yourselves was incredible. This is exactly why I do what I do.

From feeling unsure… to walking into birth feeling grounded, informed, and in control — that transformation never gets old.

Welcome to the world, Charlotte 🤍
You are already so loved.

Most women are never warned about this part of a C-section recovery… 👇

That sharp, trapped wind pain?
It can feel worse than the incision itself.

But here’s the truth most people don’t tell you:
It’s normal, and there are simple ways to ease it 💗

✨ Gentle movement helps wake your body back up
✨ Rocking can relieve that deep, uncomfortable pressure
✨ Peppermint tea can soothe your digestion
✨ And skipping fizzy drinks can make a huge difference

This isn’t about “just getting on with it”…
It’s about understanding your body so you can recover feeling more comfortable, confident, and in control.

Because when you know what’s happening, everything feels less overwhelming.

Save this for after your birth (you’ll thank yourself later 🤍)
And send it to someone who needs to hear this but hasn’t been told yet.

Choosing where to give birth isn’t just a practical decision… it’s an emotional one too 🤍

Because this isn’t about picking the “right” place.
It’s about choosing the place where you feel safest, most supported, and able to let go.

For some women, that’s home.
For others, it’s a birth centre.
And for many, it’s the reassurance of a hospital.

There is no gold standard — only what’s right for you, your baby, and your circumstances.

The key is understanding your options, knowing what each setting offers, and feeling confident in the decision you make… not second guessing it later.

✨ Because when you feel safe, your body can work with you — not against you.

✨ And that can completely change how birth feels.

If you’re feeling unsure, overwhelmed, or stuck between options… you’re not alone. This is exactly what we work through inside my course.

✨ Why me: I’m a midwife and Hypnobirthing teacher who’s supported births in every setting — I’ll help you understand your options so you can choose what’s right for you, not what you’ve been told to do.

She didn’t need more information…
She needed to feel safe in her body and confident in her choices.

Because let’s be honest —
most women aren’t going into birth unprepared…

They’re going in overwhelmed, anxious, and second-guessing everything.

That constant loop of:
“What if I can’t cope?”
“What if something goes wrong?”
“What if I lose control?”

That’s what actually holds you back.

Not your body.
Not your baby.
Not even birth itself.

So we didn’t just “prepare” her for labour…
We changed the way she experienced it before it even began.

We replaced fear with understanding.
Panic with tools.
Uncertainty with confidence.

And that’s when everything shifted.

Because when you feel calm, informed, and in control…
you don’t just “get through” birth —
you experience it in a completely different way.

That’s the work.

Why me?
I’m a midwife, a mum, and a hypnobirthing teacher — I’ve seen birth from every angle. I don’t just give you information, I give you the tools to actually use it when it matters most.

If you’re ready to stop feeling scared and start feeling prepared…
this is your sign 💫

Welcome to the world, beautiful Gia ✨
You are already so deeply loved.

Leah & Glen — what a journey this has been. From preparing, questioning, trusting, and navigating every twist along the way… to finally holding your baby in your arms. This is the moment it was all for.

I am so proud of you both. Enjoy every tiny, squishy newborn moment — it really is magic.

✨ This is exactly why I do what I do. Supporting you to walk into birth feeling calm, informed, and confident — no matter the path it takes.

C-section recovery isn’t about “bouncing back”… it’s about being supported to heal properly 🤍

Those early days can feel like a lot — physically, emotionally, and mentally. And so many women are told what not to do… without ever being shown what actually helps.

Here’s what really makes a difference:
✨ Staying on top of your pain relief (don’t wait until you’re struggling)
✨ Gentle movement to support circulation and recovery
✨ Nourishing your body so it can heal
✨ Protecting your energy and asking for help
✨ Letting yourself feel all of it — not just the “grateful” parts

Because healing from a C-section isn’t just physical… it’s a full-body, full-heart experience.

And when you understand how to support your body properly?
You don’t just get through recovery… you feel more in control of it.

This is exactly what I teach — not just how to prepare for birth, but how to recover feeling informed, supported, and confident in your body 🤍

Why me?
I’m a midwife, doula, and C-section mum who’s been on both sides — I don’t just teach this, I’ve lived it and supported hundreds of women through it too.

Save this for after your birth (or send to someone who needs it) 🤍

You can have a C-section and still feel calm.
Still feel in control.
Still look back and feel proud of your birth.

But most people are never told that.

Instead, they’re left feeling like it’s something that “happened to them”…
Something to just get through.

And that’s where so much of the fear comes from.

Because when you don’t understand your options,
When you don’t know what you can ask for,
When no one shows you how calm it can feel…

Of course it feels overwhelming.

But it doesn’t have to be that way.

This is exactly what I teach—
How to walk into any birth (including a C-section) feeling prepared, informed, and genuinely calm.

Not because everything goes perfectly…
But because you understand what’s happening and feel part of it.

🤍 That’s the difference.

Why me?
I’m a midwife, hypnobirthing teacher, and mum who’s experienced both a C-section and a calm, positive birth—so I don’t just teach this, I’ve lived it.

If you’re pregnant and want to feel like this walking into your birth…
Send me a message with “CALM” and I’ll point you in the right direction.
