Ok folks just to say I am now having to move to asking for clients to pay in advance for their appointments . In the last week I have had two no shows and one cancellation 1 hour 45 mins before the appointment . For a therapist an on the day cancellation or a no show costs them money . I pay for the space I use . I print off materials and assessment forms and I allocate time , also I am always very flexible and unlike some people work round my clients as well as give text reminders . However I’ve had too many situations like this recently and now sadly due to selfish behaviour and to ensure that I can keep doing this I need to start to ask people for payment prior to the session .
