Sports, Life, Work has grown from a portable sports therapy business into a center for Sports and Performance. We moved from our small injury clinic once we needed to find a new location to home all our kit from taking over a gym. We have 2 treatment rooms for Sports Therapy work, (assessing, treating and rehabilitating injuries, Doesn't have to be sports injury.) We have a private multi use gym and have 1 in-house personal as well as elrenting the space to other coaches.

After re-introducing myself last week, I thought I’d share a little more about why Sports Life Work exists — and what it really means to us.

The name came from something I’ve seen over and over again — in myself, in our clients, in life in general:
When something’s off in one area (an injury, stress, exhaustion), it never just stays there.
It spills into everything else.
Your workouts. Your work. Your mood. Your family life.

That’s why we don’t just treat injuries.
We look at the whole picture — your sports, life and work — and help you build strength, balance and confidence across them all.

It’s not about perfection (trust me, mine’s usually a mix of muddy rugby kits, half-eaten snacks, and chasing my boys around 🤦‍♀️).
It’s about finding what works for you — and helping you stay strong enough to enjoy it.

So whether you’re coming back from an injury, trying to feel fitter, or just want to move without pain — we’re here for you 💪

Our "Bragging Rights" wall has proven very popular since its addition to the gym floor!

All our group and 1-2-1 members get a spot on the wall which is always visible on our gym floor. Its is a place to log your best results and personal wins, as well as keeping track of your fellow friends progress and success along the way!

It has further pulled our community together as they constantly celebrate each others wins and cheer each other on. All while trying to claim those bragworthy positions in the club records section.

Its fun, motivating and holds us all accountable of how much we can work ourselves in our training

I'm too sore to train or ESPECIALLY! I can't train because of my *Insert injury from 31 years ago that went unassessed and untreated*

The fact of the matter is...you can train! We all can!

Training doesn't mean squatting 300kg and screaming LIGHTWEIGHT BABY. For some people simply getting up and down out a chair repeatedly could be an increase in strength training (same motion just different weight intensity)

Finding the right balance will not only help with injury recovery but also reduce your risk of getting injured! This has been shown across countless studies and it is why we push what we do. Having coaches who are also qualified sports therapists and injury specialists allows us to take people with injury fears and risks and build them into more robust, healthier and happier individuals!

So if you're ready to discard those thoughts and face the facts, come along and get yourself to a gym that cares about getting you moving and feeling good again

It’s been a while since we’ve properly introduced ourselves… so here’s a little catch-up from me and the crew behind Sports Life Work 💛

I’m Kat, owner of SLW — a sports injury clinic, private gym and teaching space in Glasgow.
When I’m not helping people get back to feeling strong, pain-free and confident in their bodies, I’m usually juggling life with my two boys Lewis and Logan, my partner Davy (we actually met through rugby 🏉), and trying to keep myself in my own fitness era — even if I still claim to be a rubbish runner 😅

You’ll spot a few photos here that sum up life lately — from running with my bestie, to family adventures, and our regular trips to Tiree (our second home). We head there every month for work, and the boys get to hang out with my parents — so it’s a special part of our world.

At SLW, our name says it all — Sports. Life. Work.
Because when something’s off in one area, it affects all three.
We’re here to help you move better, feel better, and get back to doing what you love — in every part of your life.

✨ What’s On at Sports Life Work this November ✨

We’ve got an exciting month ahead here at SLW — two events designed to lift you up, help you reset, and finish the year feeling strong 💪

🚀 Lift Off – Saturday 15th November, 10AM
Our community event all about energy, goals and good vibes!
Come join us for a morning of movement, connection and motivation. Whether you train with us already or just want to see what we’re all about — everyone’s welcome!

🧘‍♀️ De-Stress – Sunday 30th November, 10.00AM
Take a deep breath, slow down and reset before the festive season kicks in.
This evening is all about relaxation, recovery and self-care — think movement, mindfulness and calm.

Both events are open to members and non-members — so bring a friend and come be part of our community!
