📅 Glaucoma Awareness Week

Launched this July by the Association of Optometrists (AOP), we at McPhee Optometrists are here to help raise awareness.

👁️ Glaucoma is an eye condition that affects the nerve at the back of the eye and your field of vision. It is normally only found during routine eye examinations, but did you know….?

📌 Patients may not be aware of symptoms until there is irreversible visual loss.

📌 Half of all cases are currently undiagnosed.

📌 You’re much more at risk if you have a family history of Glaucoma.

📍We’ve been quiet on here recently but we’ve been very busy behind the scenes. 👷‍♀️

Not only have we been busy caring for our patients eyes, our optician Kenny had a new addition to his family, with baby Patrick being born at the beginning of 2024. On top of this, there’s also been a practice facelift throughout the year!

We’re looking forward to Christmas and will update you with our festive opening times in December. 🧑‍🎄
