...however toxic people use silent treatment as a punishment. Silent treatment is emotional abuse. It is intentional and designed to manipulate, control and gain attention. Toxic people want you to jump through hoops to TRY to fix them. They get a kick out of knowing that you're trying to figure out 'what you did wrong' to cause the silent treatment. The truth is, you did nothing wrong. The truth is, this is a toxic game you will never win. The goal of this game is to break you down and make you feel you need to jump higher to meet their expectations. Don't fall for it. Don't play the game. Leave them to stew in their own juice and walk on. x
