Craig is - at heart - a Person-Centred Therapist, although has also been trained in Existentialist, Gestalt and Transactional Analysis techniques in addition to using Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioural tools where applicable. In addition to face-to-face sessions, Craig is also available online. His primary focus in helping people with Anxiety, Depression, Loss, Grief & Bereavement and relationa
l issues. In terms of experience, Craig was a police officer for almost 3 decades, retiring at the rank of Inspector; 12 of those years were in the role of Hostage & Crisis Negotiator. Whilst there are many differences between negotiation and therapy, there were enough similarities for him to know that his vocation in life is to help people who are experiencing emotional difficulty and crisis. In addition to his therapeutic qualifications, Craig holds an Undergraduate Honours Degree in Criminal Justice and a Postgraduate in Criminal Psychology and Criminology. Craig is also a Trustee on the Board of Directors for COSCA, Scotland's largest Counselling and Psychotherapy governing body, with responsibility for the Criminal Justice arena.
