Amongst the nearly 15 million people in the UK living with High Blood Pressure? You may be eligible for our latest research study...

The study is investigating the effectiveness of a treatment in reducing the risk of experiencing a major heart event in patients who are living with inadequately controlled high blood pressure & either are at risk of Cardiovascular Disease or have Cardiovascular Disease.

The study will involve regular visits to our clinic (Glasgow, Birmingham, Liverpool or North Tees) over the course of the 4.5 year-long study and participants will be reimbursed for their study-related time and travel.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at FutureMeds UK! 🎄

Over the past few weeks, our teams across the UK have been getting into the festive spirit in a number of ways:

🎁 Our FutureMeds Liverpool team once again had their annual toy collection for Cash for Kids' Mission Christmas to help make sure children wake up on Christmas morning to a present.

"Our yearly toy collection is a powerful reminder that when we come together as a team, we can creative positive change within and beyond our site. Supporting children in need strengthens our connection to the community and reflects the values we uphold together at FM Liverpool" - Joe Donohue, Senior Research Nurse and FutureMeds Liverpool's Culture Captain.

🎄 Our FutureMeds North Tees took part in Elf Day, raising money through a day of festive games and a bake sale for Alzheimer's Society

🎅 And, of course, our sites across the UK took part in Christmas Jumper Day, spreading some festive cheer throughout the day!

It's been a fantastic effort from everyone involved to help those in need this Christmas and to support some special charities that work so tirelessly to provide support to so many.

Last week, our FutureMeds North Tees team took part in Elf Day in aid of Alzheimer's Society

Dressing up like Christmas elves, taking part in festive games and a festive bake sale to raise £168 for The Alzheimer's Society.

Well done everyone involved for raising money for such an important cause and for managing to eat all of those cakes!

Tomorrow, our FutureMeds North Tees site joins hundreds of other businesses and organisations in taking part in Elf Day 2025 in aid of Alzheimer's Society

One in three people born in the UK today will develop dementia in their lifetime. Our staff will be dressing up like elves for the day, taking part in quizzes and activities and having a bake sale to help raise money, awareness and support for a charity that does so much to help those who need it.

This month, our FutureMeds Glasgow team were on their bikes and raising money for a cause close to their hearts, Maggie's Centres

By cycling all the way round the beautiful Isle of Cumbrae, home to the town of Millport, the team have so far raised £1,370 to help support Maggie's.

Maggie's offers free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer, as well as their loved ones. Their incredible work helps people navigate one of life's toughest challenges with compassion and care.

The day was a special one that allowed the Glasgow team to bond over a shared challenge:

"This event was an excellent example of our PACT principles being applied to support our local community. Maggie's does incredible work and is very close to our heart here at FutureMeds Glasgow. We are proud to contribute in our own small way.

Lower Back Pain Research Study. Could you be eligible?

We are conducting a research study into a treatment hoping to reduce the pain experienced by those with chronic lower back pain. The study will be comparing the effectiveness of different doses of the study treatment.

The research study will involve taking the study treatment twice a day for up to 11 weeks. There will also be up to 6 visits to one of our clinics and you will receive compensation for your travel and inconvenience.

Only those 65 years old or older qualify for a flu vaccine through the NHS. Over 50 and interested in receiving a flu vaccine? Our latest research study may be of interest to you…

We are conducting a research study for a new, investigational flu vaccine to discover its effectiveness when compared to an existing vaccine. As part of the study, participants will receive either an existing vaccine or the investigational vaccine.

Involvement in the study will last for around 6-8 months and consists of receiving one vaccine followed by regular check-up visits. Reimbursement will be provided for study-related activities.
