I learned through pilates that I had weak core muscles and poor pelvic alignment resulting in pressure on my lower back. After attending weekly pilates classes at my local gym my backache gradually disappeared. Health practitioners are now putting more emphasis on individuals taking responsibility for their own health and well being. I see more and more people being referred to my classes from the health professionals. Knowing the benefits of Pilates I decided I wanted to share this knowledge and help make a difference to other peoples lives the same way Pilates made a difference to mine. So in 2010, I retrained to become a Pilates Instructor. After completion of my Pilates training I qualified with level 3 Diploma in Mat Pilates. I started teaching in various gyms and clubs, worked with a private physiotherapy practice, Clydebank College, the Golden Jubilee Hospital and the Western Tennis Club. Recently working with Glasgow City Council in their health and well being programme delivering Pilates Classes to Council staff. Now resident at Broomhill Tennis Club. Classes
