HoVana is 1 today 🎉

Today marks one year since opening HoVana Holistics & Beauty, and I would like to say a sincere thank you to everyone who has supported the business over the past year.
I’m truly grateful for every booking, rebooking, review, recommendation, kind message and word of encouragement. Your support has helped HoVana grow into a calm, welcoming space for holistic treatments in Bridgeton, Glasgow.
Over the past year, HoVana has continued to develop with treatments including Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage, therapeutic massage, aromatherapy, reflexology, facials, facial massage and wood therapy.

Massage: A Luxury or an Essential? 🌿

One of my lovely clients said something that really stuck with me — “You should tell people your story.” So here it is.

Where I come from, massage isn’t just a treat. It’s a tool for recovery. For healing. For calming the nervous system.

We had health resorts where people would stay for a week or two — not to be pampered, but to be supported.
Every day included massage, physiotherapy, swimming, sauna, fresh food, forest walks, and time away from the everyday noise.

Treatments were tailored to each person — gentle or strong, physical or emotional focus.
It was all about creating space to rest and feel better, inside and out.

In the UK, massage is often seen as a luxury. Something “extra.” But it can be so much more.

At HoVana, I always try to bring a little bit of that approach into every session.
Time to listen. Time to reset. No rushing. No one-size-fits-all.
