Hey folks, still on hiatus, needing to step back a bit longer than expected. Healing can be frustrating but trying to embrace my sacred pause era 😆.
I’m missing being away from the table and my lovely clients.
I’m looking forward to fixing those tired shoulders again when the time is right. I’ll share as soon as bookings reopen.

Hey folks, I thought I’d attempt to do a wee update on here, who knows who will read it or see it even as I reckon my lack of social media activity makes my algorithm rubbish!
I am still here and running my practice. I’ve just had to cut back my days significantly this past year as I’ve been in a new part time role as a trainee hospice spiritual care practitioner. This has also meant I’ve been studying a post grad in Chaplaincy. As well as this I’ve become a dad and this absolute gift has also been a priority over work.
My plan is to continue running my complementary therapy business part time alongside my other work.
I really love practicing all my body therapies and working with my regular clients. You are all such incredible people and I genuinely feel so lucky to know you and privileged to get to work alongside your healing. Running my business brings me so much joy and contentment. And I feel really lucky that I can continue to use Abbie’s wonderful space .palace
So I plan to continue being in Glasgow two days a month for now with a view of increasing this once I have more time later this year.
I’m also continuing the home visits service in North Ayrshire and will be increasing availability for that later this year too.
Please try to book in advance if you want to keep your regular bookings as my limited availability just now means I get full quickly.
Also on a separate note, if like me you’re not keen on using social media, please private message me your email address and we can communicate that way.
Thank you for your continued loyalty, I’m always blown away by the support from all my regulars, you’re amazing!

Hey everyone, I hope you’ve all enjoyed some of this recent sunshine 😎
I can’t believe I’ve already been off work for a month, time is flying. As much as I’ve been loving paternity leave, I’m missing you all. Looking forward to getting back to fixing achy bodies and soothing stress levels.
Will be taking bookings as of end of May, not too far off! Take care all

That’s me off on paternity leave! I’ll be back taking bookings end of May. I’m going to miss seeing you all and practicing massage therapy but I’m super excited about this new adventure.

Hi everyone, long announcement!
As you all know I’ve been winding down the barber service for a while and I’ve now decided to no longer continue offering this service as of next year.
It’s been a difficult decision but absolutely the right one. In short, I’m too busy! Which is a very privileged position to be in, especially in these trying times. But I want to and need to focus solely on the therapy side of my work.
So for those haircut clients past and current, I just want to say thank you so, so much for your loyalty and support. I’ve met so many amazing people through my haircuts service and I’ve learnt so much from each client. I’ve even ended up being good friends with many a haircut client.
It’s been a really interesting journey, each barbershop I’ve worked in, each pop up I’ve done from football pitches to club nights, to bookshops, the haircuts for charities, the home haircuts service and more recently the hospice haircuts and shaves.
It’s been fun, hectic, tiring, interesting, really enjoyable and so much more. I honestly don’t think my technical skills ever came close to some of the incredible and dedicated barbers out there but I always strived to offer a unique haircut service by leaning into my particular approach and values. And knowing this is all coming to an end, I’m just filled with gratitude that I got to share your haircut experiences and hopefully hold space for that in the best way I could.
I’d also like to thank my teachers who are massively skilled barbers/hairdressers and have been instrumental in my journey - , , and Open Barbers. A special shout out to Suzie manager of who took a chance on me being newly qualified and really helped kick start my career as a barber and has continued to be a support. And amazing Abbie who has kindly provided her fabulous space at .palace for me to have a haircut home in the last few years. (I will be staying on there Mondays next year for complementary therapy, will keep you all updated about that in future posts).
I started off working in the field of therapy, well-being and mental health 18 years ago and despite steering off track for a few years to work as a part time barber I’ve just always been pulled back to this type of work. Even my barbering had a therapeutic style 😂
So for now I’m hanging up my barber tools and sending a big love and thanks to you all
