Andrew Currie - Complementary Therapist

Andrew Currie - Complementary Therapist Qualified therapist in VTCT Complementary Therapies. Offering Body Massage, Aromatherapy and foot Reflexology

I've spent much of my early life never knowing what I wanted to do and did lots of varied courses ranging from Nautical Science as a trainee deck officer in the Merchant Navy to training as a Chef. Through lots of volunteering with homeless and mental health charities, I finally figured out I wanted to promote mental and physical wellbeing so I studied and qualified in a VTCT Level 3 in Complementary Therapies at the Langside Campus of Glasgow Clyde College in June 2016. The comprehensive course consisted of doing 100 case studies in Reflexology, 60 case studies in Aromatherapy/Massage and 30 case studies in Body Massage as well as Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology. Through my course I enjoyed working with people and seeing their physical and emotional problems improve over the course of continuous treatments, which brought me to the realisation of how our physical and emotional bodies are connected. After I qualified I worked as a Reflexologist at Sweet Aerobics - a social project that aims to make exercise, aerobics and yoga fun and accessible to communities across Glasgow and beyond. https://www.facebook.com/sweetaerobics/

I then rented a room at Woodland Herbs, a health shop, herbal dispensary and clinic in Glasgow. I worked there for just over a year and loved seeing clients walk out the door with a smile on their faces after a treatment, I basically got paid to make people happy! I no longer rent a room, but am fully mobile and can come to you. I have a full-sized portable massage table that has the added luxury of an electric blanket, plus portable relaxing music, to create the right relaxing atmosphere. I can also offer seated massage on a specialised massage chair directly to businesses' staff. If you're a business and are wanting to take advantage of the well-known increase in staff productivity from on-site massage, please get in contact!

So Glasgow is going back into lockdown Tier 3 on Friday, so we may finally be going back towards Tier 1 soon, where I would be able to start practicing home visits again when restrictions allow, whilst taking steps to adhere to the rules: disinfecting equipment, wearing a mask and a face shield.
I'm keen to rebuild my business. So I've got an idea:
I'll be offering FREE treatments in exchange for a like of my page plus a review of the treatment.

I can offer:
20 minute seated Head, Back, Neck & Shoulders (done over clothes)
60/90 minute Swedish massage on the table (with oils).

I'll require a £15 deposit for the 20 minute massage and either a £40 deposit for the 60 minute massage or £60 for the 90 minute, refunded upon receipt of the page like and review.

If you're interested in doing a skill share/barter instead please message me directly.

Just to re-iterate, I won't be doing any treatments until we're at Tier 1 again, but this will be my future business plan when therapists are allowed to operate safely.

N.B The deposit can be paid either cash or card. However card payments will take 30 days to refund, as they go via SumUP. But I can also take contactless, android or apple pay. Alternatively you can pay me via paypal or bank transfer.

I am now fully 100% mobile! Just got my first car, so I can now travel to clients' homes! 🙂
Also, with the lockdown rules laxed, massage therapists are once again allowed to operate.
PM me if you'd like to make a booking!
