A personal update...
As some of you may recall... back in the summer of 2022 I ended up on crutches having torn the meniscus in my left knee. I eventually had surgery in 2023 and was told by my consultant that I should expect more knee problems in the future. That future is now.
Towards the end of last year I was starting to struggle with my right knee. The signs were very similar to what I'd experienced with my left one and alarm bells started to ring and I immediately got a referral to Orthopaedics. Two weeks ago it got a lot worse and currently my right knee is locked straight (imagine stretching your leg and keeping it in that position for 2 weeks and that's what life is like for me at the moment). I don't yet have a proper diagnosis... but thankfully the NHS here in Somerset are on the case and things are happening quickly. I'm anticipating surgery but will await the recommendation of my Consultant here.
What this all means is ... for the next month or so I won't be able to offer any sessions. I'm hoping I'll be mobile again by the Spring Equinox for a Forest Bathing walk at Ham Hill Country Park but only time will tell. In the meantime, alongside getting the treatment I need to bring movement back into my right knee, I'll just be sharing some of my favourite nature photos to hopefully inspire you to step outside during the days I'm not able to.
