Steve Ashmore Homeopath

Steve Ashmore Homeopath Glastonbury homeopath, posting homeopathic and healthy ideas, questioning the orthodox. Hope to connect with you soon!

I have a wide interest in positive, health promoting therapies and actions that heal people and the planet - and I also notice and like to comment on things that have the opposite effect. My page reflects this with posts about the dangers of pharmaceutical dominance of the health system and calls to action against environmental and human suffering - all mixed in with hopeful and heartening news about individual and environmental wellness, fitness and happiness

Homeopathy is part of the positive trend - I believe its holistic style encourages true healing of body, mind and spirit but with my own very positive experiences of meditation, yoga, psychotherapy and alternative health I'll include posts about these things too.

Always good to see support for homeopathy, this time from a leading scientist in Russia. The article also mentions support from the Russian Orthodox Church in the 1800’s. I like that the Church viewed the homeopathic approach as ‘gentleness over aggression’ and ‘healing as cooperation with God’s creation rather than domination over it.’ You may or may not struggle with the idea of God, but acting in harmony with nature (or Nature) is perhaps not so difficult to grasp.

Here’s Dr Dhand, dismayed at tennis legend Serena Williams advertising GLP-1 weight loss injections. I think his take is accurate: the promotion of ‘dependency rather than resilience’ and ‘strength replaced with suppression’ isn’t going to end well.

Well it happened.

Without the multi-million-pound budgets of pharmaceutical companies, scientists are using innovative approaches to gather evidence of the effectiveness of homeopathy. Here’s an encouraging study on homeopathic Sulphur being used in depression, showing both a change in symptoms and measurable physiological changes compared to placebo.

In this presentation, Prof Adler discusses his N-of-1, double-blind, placebo-controlled study evaluating a personalised homeopathic protocol for depression. ...

Here’s Professor Peter Gotzsche with convincing arguments against the widespread use of fever-reducing drugs. Is this medical misinformation, or has he just asked the right questions?

Fever is highly effective in clearing infections

Out of the UK’s millions of psychiatric medicine users, I wonder how many realise there’s quite a debate about the drugs’ safety and usefulness. Click through to learn more about a very credentialed sceptic’s view.

With some still calling for masking up this winter, perhaps it’s a good time to watch this documentary. Groups like Smile Free, who co-produced this film, were part of a multitude of niche, non-mainstream thinkers that managed to hold on to a healthy perspective during the pandemic.

"Masking Humanity: The Human Toll of Mask Policies in Care Homes and Hospitals" is an independent documentary produced by Smile Free in association with Tris...

Essential viewing if you’re interested in vaccine sceptic arguments. What could be revealing from this video is the nuance of what ‘science’ actually is. While there are wonderful ideals, it is a human endeavour, inclusive of all human failings.

Here, a study comparing vaccinated vs unvaccinated, which has ‘unfavourable’ outcomes, is withheld for fear of job loss. It’s science, but a very human drama.

An impressive case with 6 years of follow-up. Assessing all aspects of a person’s health over such a long period of time, IMO, gives a more accurate view of whether or not a treatment is really successful. Palliation or suppression can give the impression of benefit, but overall well-being may be worse.

Introduction: Bile duct fistulas (BDFs) stemming mainly from surgery after cholecystectomy present a significant global health challenge due to their associated morbidity and complications. If proven effective, alternative treatments may be preferred, given the invasive nature of the conventional tr...

I’m finding the unravelling of the Covid vaccine narrative fascinating, but it seems many people would like to forget. Perhaps it’s the denial stage of grief, or just apathy. Here’s Dark Horse Podcast on natural immunity and how it was deliberately ignored.

Vaccinologist Paul Offit admits that natural immunity was always superior to vaccine-induced immunity—if you survived the infection—but that this was not a m...

While spending on orthodox medicine rises, so too does the burden of chronic disease. Time to start asking questions? Some sobering stats in this paper, especially regarding the increasing prevalence of autoimmune and mental health conditions.
