Back in London doing for a company I’ve now worked with for over four years. In that time I’ve seen many faces come and go, and many stay - and we have formed a lovely therapeutic alliance with many regulars.

Chair massage is a great way of a company caring for their employee wellbeing. It’s suitable for most working environments, requiring nothing else than a private room - everything else is provided by the practitioner, in this case me 😀

“The antidepressant effect of light is most pronounced when it is administered in the early morning hours.”

Low mood often comes often with sleep issues. Sleep is gold dust, and imperative, absolutely vital for healing, whether this is in physical tissues, mentally or emotionally.

It’s official! Walking improves and may even deter low back pain.

A study that looked at data of over eleven thousand adult participants from Norway, found that daily walking was inversely associated with occurrence of lower back pain. Those who walked more, had less low back pain, compared to those who walked less.

How fast one walked seemed to have less effect on the occurrence (of lower back pain) than the length of time walked.

What a low hanging fruit!

Low back pain is one of key complaints I see at the clinic, and one of the leading reasons people have to take sick leave from work.

Just a personal footnote: do ensure you have good shoes, which support proper alignment of your foot and ankles. Good, appropriate shoes can save you for issue with knees and hips. If you have any foot issues such as overt pronation, do visit a good sports podiatrist to see if you need supportive insoles.
