Saturday is Glastonbury Carnival day, we're really looking forward to it but if you do visit and need to get home for the evening you'll need to be gone by 5 at the latest! The road closures are well signed so don't get stuck!

🚧 ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE – GLASTONBURY CARNIVAL 🚧

A reminder to all staff working in Glastonbury — if you need to leave town please do so before 5pm.
Barriers will be erected at the junctions along the route from that time, and once in place it will be very difficult to move them.

🎪 From 3:30pm, the amazing Devitos Circus entertainers will be in town bringing fun and laughter to the crowds — so come early, enjoy the build-up, and help us keep everyone safe by following the road closure arrangements.

The Ivy Moon Emporium is open today, with Dave tending the shop while I slip into a day of quiet crafting and gentle creation.

The morning began with coffee in hand and soft light through the window, the world still hushed and full of promise. As the first sip warmed me, I decided that I was going to experiment with an idea...
Pre-nine-o’clock i set my intention, and started crafting.

What came next is so simple, but in their own way unique and beautiful. Born from petals and leaves gathered with love and care. They hold the breath of the green world, each bead a tiny vessel of devotion and earth’s beauty. These maybe later today, maybe one day form part of a larger project, though today I’m content simply to let them come into being and see where my spirit is taken.
Later, I’ll turn my attention to more ritual aura sprays as we have once again run very low in the shop. I will be weaving scent and energy together as offering and art, and following this perhaps spend some time writing if the mood allows. A slow day of creation, guided by coffee, craft, and quiet reverence.

Gremlins: 1 — Wand Unboxing Reel: 0

So… I did film a glorious unboxing of our brand new magickal wands it had sparkle, drama, probably too much excitement, and at least one squeal of joy. But apparently, the tech gremlins were watching and decided they fancied a bit of chaos today… because the entire video has vanished. Gone. P**f. Like smoke on the wind.

But! I refuse to let the gremlins win, so here are some photos instead, because these wands are absolutely stunning. Each one is a tiny masterpiece, full of intention and crafted by the wonderfully talented lady Arianasoulpurpose Creations whose work genuinely makes my witchy heart sing.

Honestly? They’re so beautiful I can’t even stay mad about it the gremlins.

🌙🍄 The Twilight Tumble 🍄🌙

This evening, out in the dark, I was told by my husband that there was a new mushroom growing right on our footpath, a little gift from the damp earth. Naturally, I dashed out (torch in hand, full of excitement) to pick one and bring it inside for a spore print.

Triumph quickly turned to chaos when I spun round and tripped over one of our many decorative cast iron candlesticks, complete with candles the ones that look enchanting as garden ornaments, but turn into hazards in the dark.

I fell so fast the camera didn’t even catch the movement just the impact and me saying “ouch!” (which is impressive, considering it usually goes off if a spider walks past).

I managed to bang my head hard enough to see stars, hurt my left elbow, right little finger, neck and back, and most tragically lose my prized mushroom which was flung unceremoniously into the darkness never to be seen again.

The good news? There’s a whole patch out there waiting for me when I’ve recovered both my dignity and my balance.

Oh, and for those curious the mysterious little fungi was a Weeping Widow Lacrymaria lacrymabunda.

Witchcraft, as ever, comes with beauty, mystery… and the occasional very bruised witch under the moonlight.
