Need a simple, screen-free activity to try with the kids this week? Enter ...
The Happy Bucket! 🪣✨

It is so easy for children (and adults) to focus on the hard parts of the day. The Happy Bucket is a simple mindfulness tool to help shift that focus.

How to use it:
1️⃣ Print this picture out (or draw your own bucket on a piece of paper!).
2️⃣ Ask your child to draw or write down things that made them smile today.
3️⃣ "Fill" the bucket with all those happy thoughts.

It is a beautiful way to practice gratitude and calm the nervous system before bedtime.

Our Minis classes run every Tuesday evening and Saturday morning and are open to children aged 3–7yrs.

Spaces are small and intentionally kept that way.

P A N I C • A T T A C K S

Panic attacks are terrifying in the moment, but they are not dangerous. I learned this firsthand after being diagnosed with panic attack disorder in 2007. For four intense years, I battled them, becoming practically housebound and dependent on “safe places” and people. My independence, once a core part of me, was lost.

Looking back, I now see the strength it took to overcome that period. My past anxiety now fuels my passion to help others, especially children, as I discovered my own anxiety stemmed from childhood experiences.

I realised that pushing anxiety away was the wrong approach, you have to work through it. It wasn’t easy, and some days I still feel anxious, but now I have the tools to process and cope.

Anxiety is a normal part of life, but if it’s interfering with your daily life, please reach out to a professional. They can guide you and provide the tools you need.

Anxiety and panic are scary, but you are amazing and capable of overcoming them. 💜

Teaching children to believe in the power of believing in themselves, mind, body and soul.

My name is Katie, owner and founder of I am Zen NI.

I founded I am Zen because of my own passion for mindfulness and yoga which I first discovered the benefits of 7yrs ago after the birth of my 2nd daughter. Totally overwhelmed with the responsibility for two tiny humans I was super anxious.

Anxiety wasn’t a stranger to me, I’d been there before, I’d been there a million times, I was an anxious child who became an anxious teen and then an anxious adult.

Starting yoga, I was quickly hooked!
