For information:
Strangles is a highly contagious and debilitating respiritory infection.

Affected horses (and new horses to a yard) should be isolated and any equipment used solely for them or sanitised after use.
Handlers can also prevent spread by dealing with these horses last and changing clothes/boots afterwards.

Veterinary interaction is necessary and antibiotics can be administered.

Most horses do recover within 3-6 weeks and can then have some immunity. However, they can also go on to be carriers unknowingly affecting others.

Always contact your vet if in any doubt.

Last in-person reiki session for this guy who has been receiving reiki regularly to help him in his advancing years.

He's off on a new adventure with his guardian up north!

We will still connect with distance reiki though, I just won't have his lovely cuddles.

A reiki session can interrupt the stressors of life and allow the body to self heal in whichever way is needed: physically, emotionally, mentally or spiritually.
