Sheila Ann LOTT
Of Ross On Wye and formerly May Hill & Huntley. Passed away peacefully on Thursday 26th March at The county hospital Hereford aged 83 years. Much loved wife of the late Roger, loving Mum of Tracey, Neil and Maddy. Sadly missed by family and friends. Funeral service to be held at St John the Baptist Church, Huntley on Friday 24th April at 12noon followed by burial. Family flowers only donations in memory of Sheila will be split between The British Heart Foundation & Parkinson's which can be left in the donation box at church on the day. Rose Edith Harris
Of Cinderford and formerly of Ruardean Hill.
Passed away peacefully on Wednesday 25th March 2026 aged 83 years. Wife of Geoff, Mum of Dave and the late Paula, Nan and Great Nan.
Sadly missed by family and friends.
Funeral service to take place at the Forest of Dean Crematorium on Tuesday 21st April at 11.30 am. Family flowers only please, donations to be split between Spina bifida and Dimentia Uk.

On behalf of the family we’ve been asked to share this tribute and the funeral details of award winning chef Richard Bodger.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our much loved head chef, Richard Bodger.

Richard was part of The Farmers Boy Inn for over 24 years. He wasn’t just a chef, he was a huge part of this place and a big part of our lives. A true character, a loyal friend, and someone we all thought the world of.

A pie master with 46 British Pie Awards, he cooked for the late Queen Elizabeth and appeared on TV, but to us he was simply Richard… and he will be deeply missed.

Funeral Details
Tuesday 28th April
3:30pm
Forest of Dean Crematorium

Richard will leave The Farmers Boy Inn at 3:00pm for anyone who would like to pay their respects.

All are welcome back to The Farmers Boy Inn afterwards for the wake.

Donations
Richard requested that donations be made to Sue Ryder Hospice in Leckhampton, Cheltenham instead of flowers.

Over the last few weeks have noticed a rise in family’s getting in touch with us regarding local cemetery’s and churchyard’s which have performed “ the topple test” on memorials of their loved ones. Sadly those which fail the topple test get laid down so they do not pose a hazard to the public.

The topple test is a method of steadily rocking a memorial to see if it’s firmly fixed so it cannot fall and injure passers by.
