10 WEEKS TO 10KM - RACE DAY 🏁 πŸ™Œ

Had an absolute ball, loved the support, loved the preparation and pushing myself more on the road running.

It wasn't without the niggles and grumbles but definitely learnt a lot about management of pains when running.

Feel like there is more in the tanke in Pace and Distance, so let's see!

RACE distance was.just under 10km annoyingly.
Watch time was 55.50.

CLIENT REVIEW 🌟 ⚽️

Luke came in with a super sore ACHILLES and was heading into a break in the football season.

We took this opportunity to load with HEAVY ISOMETRIC and ECCENTRIC exercises at the gym as well as addressing the lateral hip instability on the same side.

We PROGRESSED through jumping and landing and slowly increased the running, keeping a close eye on the morning stiffness the next day.

Luke has a clear, PLAN to maintain availability and get back on the pitch.

11th - 17th August

Slight rise in temps, less demand on the running legs and some illness meant perfect time for some rest.

Hit the time trial with intent and backed off the rest of the week. Hit 1mi PB at 7.38 which felt good.

Missed a Park Run due to household illness but back on the 1s and 2s this week.

CLIENT REVIEW 🌟🎾

After repeated calf injuries, Andrew got in touch to iron out the risk of another set back before getting back into his racquet sports like squash, tennis and padel. πŸ“

Initial Assessment honed in on old ankle sprains and a super stiff ankle joint.🦢

We worked through the Resilience Plan and straight back to the Court we went πŸ‘Ÿ

28th July to 3rd August

Programme has been building and the volume increasing.
The interval session was a bit of a test of speed, which knocked me back body wise. Under estimated how much conditioning I still need to do.

Longest run yet meant my knee grumbled and I had to take action.

Got through the week and we keep pushing!
