⭐ Full Circle Moments ⭐
It’s been around seven years since I first stepped into Barnwood Park for a meeting about Chance is Change, what it was, what it stood for, and the ethos behind it. I remember walking in with a vision of helping young people see their worth, find their voice, and feel safe to grow 🌱
That day I met an incredible teacher, I won’t name them as they wouldn’t agree, but they’ve been more than a teacher to me over the years. They’ve been a guide, a mirror, and a reminder that we never stop learning from those around us 🙏
Since that first visit, I’ve seen so many young people walk through the doors of Barnwood, growing from Year 7 to Year 11, learning, struggling, laughing, and achieving things they never thought they could. I’ve witnessed the school go through different stages, just like the young people we support, and I’ve had the privilege of meeting so many incredible staff members who share that same heart for making a difference 💫
I can honestly say that Barnwood feels like a home for Chance is Change 🏫💙
Recently I introduced another member of our team, Charlotte, to Barnwood. I sat in on one of her sessions and couldn’t have been prouder. It was a surreal moment, Charlotte was once one of my students, and to see her now helping others was truly inspiring 🌟
Not forgetting the fantastic Lottie, who’s also based at Barnwood and has been doing an amazing job supporting young people there all year 👏
Sometimes it’s important to pause and reflect, to look back and see how far we’ve come, and to realise that the seeds you plant today might become someone else’s roots tomorrow 🌿
✨ “The true measure of success isn’t how far you go, it’s how many others you bring with you along the way.”
