There are a range of singers and entertainers who visit many of the Allegra Care homes in South Gloucestershire. "Magic Steve" from Memory Lane Entertainment visits all the homes with his unique offering of magic, quizzes and music with quite a bit of general silliness thrown in!

Steve has visited Blossom Fields and Olive Tree House in the past week and as always made residents smile as they took part in the show. It really was a full house at Blossom Fields which is always great to see.

Today Olive Tree House and Rose Garden said farewell to students Leah and Tanzila.

Leah and Tanzila have been on a placement with SGS College Industry Placements part of SGS, since September. The students are studying for their T Level in Health and Social Care at the Filton Campus which is very close to the homes. It has been a pleasure to have the students in the homes each week and we wish them every success with their future studies and careers in care.

The Easter preparations continued today at Olive Tree House with the residents starting to decorate their bonnets for the Easter Parade!

Everyone got very creative with an array of craft materials - what an egg-cellent start to the bonnets. Olive Tree House are very much looking forward to welcoming everyone to the parade on Good Friday.

Fordingbridge Care Home is delighted to announce the reopening of its hairdressing and nail salon, and to warmly welcome their new hairdresser, Sam.

Residents enjoyed a relaxing and uplifting experience, sipping on a glass of bubbly while having their hair and nails done. The salon was filled with smiles, laughter, and a real sense of pampering, with everyone looking absolutely amazing by the end.

A big thank you to Sam for helping residents feel so happy and confident with their beautiful new looks. A truly wonderful day for all involved.

Today students Tanzila and Leah from SGS College Industry Placements came along with the team to drop off the Easter egg donations to Patchway Town Council. Thank you so much to everyone who donated to this year's Patchway Mayor's Easter Egg Appeal, Rose Garden and Olive Tree House dropped off a fabulous 32 eggs. The mayor will hand out over 600 Easter eggs next week to all the primary school children in Patchway.

Tanzila and Leah have been in the homes one day a week and are with the team all this week as they come to the end of their placement.

There was plenty of Comic Relief fun at Blossom Fields, with the team and residents posing for some great red nose photos!

In the afternoon it was the monthly get together with neighbouring home The Grove; affectionately called "chit and chatter", as the residents love a good old catch up. The Grove's residents joined in the fun, donning red noses as well!

Allegra Care's Western Region homes had so much fun for Comic Relief with smiles and laughter all around the homes.

Olive Tree House and Rose Garden's theme of the day was "paint attack" and this involved the homes' volunteers and activities coordinators being painted! What great sports as residents delighted in drawing and painting the human canvases as they went around the homes!

The Grove's resident Pam has been really enjoying getting creative and with the support of the team has made some frames so her artwork is now up on the wall in her bedroom.

What a beautiful day for Blossom Fields' trip to the Three Brooks Nature Reserve.

Three Brooks Nature Conservation Group is located near the home in Bradley Stoke and this was the first outing Blossom Fields have taken to this local nature reserve. The team and residents walked about a mile from one of the entrance gates to the duck pond, two deer even crossed their paths.

There were stunning spring blossoms that looked even more spectacular in the sunshine. Everyone so enjoyed being outside and as always thank you to Green Community Travel for making the bus ride part of the outing!

With Easter around the corner Olive Tree House residents set to work on creating some giant Easter eggs!

The residents found the ripping and gluing tissue paper quite therapeutic and the bright coloured eggs look great ready for the home's Easter display.

Rose Garden and Olive Tree House residents had a lovely time at this week's Patchway Memory Cafe. The entertainment was singer Thea from Mini Concerts; with a fantastic repertoire of songs everyone was singing along and there was even some dancing!
