Children’s dental health is an important part of overall wellbeing, and simple daily habits can help protect young teeth for life.

Drinks that are high in sugar and acidity can damage tooth enamel and increase the risk of decay. Encouraging water or milk, brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, and regular dental check-ups can all support healthy smiles. Starting good oral health habits early can make a lasting difference. 🦷🪥💙✨

🌟 Jess’s Rule – Your Voice Matters 🌟

Jess’s Rule supports patients, families, and carers to speak up if they are worried about a patient’s condition.

If concerns aren’t being addressed and something doesn’t feel right, Jess’s Rule provides a clear way to escalate concerns so the patient can be reviewed and supported.

The aims are simple:
👂 Making sure patients are listened to
⏰ Encouraging early action
🛡️ Improving patient safety and care

We encourage patients and families always to feel confident asking questions and raising concerns about care at our practice.

Vaccination is the best way to reduce the risk of serious illness and protect children as they grow.

It’s also important that vaccines are given on time for the best protection.

Absolutely!

Pancake Day has crêped up on us again!

But pancakes aren’t usually the issue when it comes to tossing away healthy eating habits… more often it’s the toppings👀

For those of us without any dietary conditions, a few simple swaps can keep your pancake stack delicious and healthy. And remember — everything in moderation. Enjoying a treat now and then is fine as part of a balanced diet.

✨ Go fruity – Fresh berries (especially raspberries) add fibre and vitamin C.
✨ Keep the sugar small – Syrups and spreads are tasty but best used lightly.
✨ Nut butters = good fats – Look for ones close to 100% nuts with no added sugar or oils.
✨ Try dark chocolate – Strong flavour means you won’t need much!
✨ Greek yoghurt – Great for calcium and protein.
✨ Savoury options – Spinach, mushrooms or tomatoes make brilliant fillings too.
