Thank you so much to Chanel from our Occupational Therapy partners Words First Ltd who brightened our Assistant Principal SENCO Brooke’s day with surprise goodies! ❤️

These were sent to commemorate their newly launched SENCO Celebration Week, recognising all the amazing work that people like Brooke do to support children and young people with SEND to thrive in their education.

🥳 Everyone at Orpheus wishes volunteer Ann Lovelace and her husband Chris a very joyous 90th birthday!

We had a fantastic and emotional time this week as we invited them in for a surprise celebration, where they enjoyed cakes expertly prepared by our student catering enterprise and star performances from Josh, Ciaran and Jess of the Performance Singing group 🎵🧁

Ann’s volunteering support over the last 25 years has made such an impact on everyone she’s worked with, from helping to direct and run weekly sessions with the Drama students to delivering inspiring talks about Orpheus to the wider community. We’re forever grateful that she continues to support us 👏

🎬🎥 Introducing the Film and Media Company Day group.

They are editing films and using film and media equipment like green screen for different backgrounds. They set up camera equipment for filming and editing things and they are working on two projects for O-TV 3. Don’t forget to please like and share.

🎨 Today we were delighted to welcome back alumni and Sam Barrett to run talks and workshops with each Major group!

Sam spoke about his artist journey including the various fantastic work opportunities and experiences he’s had during his time at and after, including his course at University and with Aardman Animations.

He also set all students a challenge before his visit to draw a colourful character pose which is one of his specialities. Everyone had lots of fun re-enacting the poses and getting valuable feedback on their work - thank you Sam for running great sessions! 👏
