Hello Everyone,

We are so pleased to announce we have our own podcast.

It’s called “Dead Honest” which will be an informative podcast to dispel myths, answer questions you never think to ask and all with a splash of humour.

We are not here to cause offence, this is just an honest conversation with to professional, myself and Chris Marsden a funeral celebrant.

Carole Nicholls
21st November 1952 – 16th March 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carole Nicholls, who died peacefully on 16th March 2026, aged 73.

Carole was a much-loved mother, grandmother, companion, and friend. She will be deeply missed by her son Damian and his wife Annie, her cherished grandchildren Abbie and Ashton, her cousins John and Andrea, and her devoted companion Richard. Carole touched the lives of many with her warmth, kindness, and generous spirit, and she will be fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

A funeral service to celebrate Carole’s life will take place on Friday 10th April 2026 at St James Church, Rawcliffe at 1:30pm. All who knew and loved Carole are warmly invited to attend. This will be followed by a committal at Memoria, Barnby Dun at 3:00pm. The family have kindly extended the invitation for everyone to attend both services.

Family flowers only, please, with donations welcomed in Carole’s memory if desired, these will go to Lindsey Lodge Hospice.

Carole’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

Should you pay to come visit your loved one in our chapel?

Absolutely not!

Should there be a time limit or can you visit in office hours only?

No and available 24/7

We truly believe that when we are entrusted with your loved one’s care our funeral directors becomes their home before we say goodbye on their final journey.

They never charged you to come and visit and neither will we.

Grief is not a 9 to 5 feeling and we will always be on the end of the phone 24/7 if you just need to spend some time with your loved one.

Whether it’s just for 5 minutes or longer. The kettle will be on, your feelings will be understood and a hug will always be on offer if you need it.

No life is ever the same, so their service shouldn’t be either.

We promise to take time to listen to your wishes, not to rush or dismiss your questions to better understand how you want the service to be and also who we are looking after.

Doing this has given us numerous 5 star reviews but more importantly we have helped families during a life changing time.

To all the mums that are no longer with us, we still know that your love is ever present. Guiding your children from where ever you are.

And to the mothers of angel babies, our thoughts are with you as well today. We know it should be a time to celebrate but we are sympathetic to those who unfortunately wasn’t meant to be.

To the person who decided to smash my private ambulance window in and put a bin bag full of hair in my van, I hope you have achieved what you needed to.

I am disappointed to have been made victim of this as I have never done anything to anyone in the community other than to provide support, help and guidance in people’s most vulnerable part of their lives and this is what I get.

We do have another private ambulance so we can continue to provide help and support when needed.

It was the funeral that will stay in our hearts and minds for a very long time.

We were so privileged to be entrusted with Pat’s final journey and in that service it showed how much he was loved by so many people.

To all those who still miss Pat, we will never stop thinking about you.
